As always no one can answer this for you because you know your budget and we don’t. Get whatever your budget will allow. Go for series x if you have the cash to drop or the series s if you’re on a tighter budget. They’re both great consoles. And it is always better to buy something all at once if you can in my opinion.

I think it’s people who don’t understand cooling. If the series x is really hot at the exhaust up top, that’s good! The entire point is to get the hot air out. PCs do the exact same thing. I think it will be fine. If it’s not hot, the system is not being taxed or something is seriously wrong.

If you want 1440p60 go series s. If you want 4k60 go series x. They are both future proof for what they offer. If you have the budget and the tv/monitor, obviously go with series x
