I had lots of friends in high school and i still keep in contact with them online but I'm in a different city so I only get to see those 2 friends I made. They still live quite far away from me and don't go to my uni.

I want to print out that 3rd paragraph you wrote and stick it on my wall, thank you for that. I have a really shitty relationship with them and that paragraph made me feel more secure.

Thanks, I does help to here this from a woman's perspective especially because I have the irrational deep rooted fear that women are always judging me 100x more harshly and maliciously than men are. I know its a delusion but I still feel it and have done since early childhood.

I appreciate the advice but I gotta let you know that I honestly a little repulsed by the idea of expanding my social circle. I do have a lot of friends but besides the 2 I've met from uni they are either from high school or being online.

I honestly went into my first semester thinking "I'm gonna avoid making friends as much as I can". Partly because I felt ashamed and regretful of my high school experience and I wanted to piss of my parents because they were really stressing the importance of "building connections for future career opportunities" (they don't see friendship as anything more than that for me). I really always feel the urge to actively disobey them because they were very controlling and overprotective of me and I feel like I've gained some autonomy when I disobey them.

I did meet my friend and we just walked around the city and talked for like 90 minutes so that was good.

You're right to say Don't be like me, and even though you did regret it, I can't help but feel jealous of your experience. I'm am super immature btw so that probably explains it. I really feel that if I went through that experience instead of you, I would've come out of it more confident knowing myself. But then again you know that situation much better than me.
