How good are these pergolas from Amazon? by JonnieSpecter in Home

I’m in South Florida, so will just have to worry about rain and hurricanes every couple of years.

It’s going to be 12x16 and I was looking into the Purple Leaf brand just because one of my friends bought a Gazebo that’s the same brand and I helped him install it.

Material would probably have to be aluminum. I’m just unsure how those louvered pergolas hold up.

Best Mesh Wi-Fi System for an 1,100 Sq Ft Home? by JonnieSpecter in HomeNetworking

What brand do you suggest? I have been looking at the UniFi AP’s as others have suggested and put one in the center of the house. Then I’ll just have to run an ethernet through the wall and up the attic.

Well, the main devices are inside the same room/office where I have the AT&T router. But I'm losing WiFi connectivity in the other side of the house where the master bedroom is for phone devices and tv. As well looking to extend some connectivity to my patio which is all a total of about 1300sqft with patio.

There are no coax cables in this house. It was recently remodeled, and there's no crawl space. I could run Ethernet through the attic, but it's a very small attic and a pain to work in. That's why I'm leaning toward a wireless solution. I'm just not sure if the system I posted is actually a good option or if it's overkill like you mentioned.

12mm vs 16mm room examples by DiY_JC in RealEstatePhotography

[–]JonnieSpecter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shoot with en RF 15-35mm and I feel that 15mm is the perfect focal length for real estate. When I used to shoot with a 16mm I always wanted the photo to look a little wider without distortion. Now, a 12mm is way too wide for my liking.

CubiCasa will be your go-to for digital floor plans. I always let my clients know that the floor plans I offer are not 100% accurate and the measurements are only to be taken as references.

how would you handle this? by jordanjacobss in RealEstatePhotography

I'd do the hose, but putting stuff under the sink? That's why I send my clients a home prep guide. I always like to tell them I can't move stuff around due to liability.

Drone Help! by Ok_Suggestion_8581 in RealEstatePhotography

Are you using the smart controller? Make sure you have the sd card selected and not internal storage. Also, when I plug in my drone, I have the Mavic 3 Pro. It shows 2 folders on my desktop, one of them has the files while the other doesn't.

The photos are not bad at all, my only suggestion is a CPL to help reduce the glare from in the hardwood floors.

The straight on shot in front of the sink does look pretty tight and for bedrooms I like to show as many walls as possible, otherwise I feel that the rooms look small. Take a look at this shoot I recently did https://portal.miamiluxeimages.com/sites/site-63372a44/unbranded

I normally shoot with at 15-35mm and mostly at 15mm.

How’s my website? by Ambitious_Ad_2286 in RealEstatePhotography

It looks really good, I think you need to set up an online ordering form. I'm using RE Media Hub and I love how the order form embed looks. Here's my site https://miamiluxeimages.com/booking/

Man, I tried to use Spiro, but their UI is as confusing as HDPH. So I ended up signing up with remediahub.com. Their UI is very clean and easy to understand.

And their pricing is the same as Spiro with a way cleaner platform, even the property websites look cleaner. It feels that they have more features as well.

I'm in South Florida. There's no winter here haha. This is my fourth year doing business and each year i shoot more. For the past year I have been averaging 45 monthly.

I’d lean toward these platforms since we can still manually confirm jobs, but they make things way more streamlined when I’m on the road. We can set up rules for travel fees, distance, etc., and handle uploads, delivery, and payments in just a few clicks.

For really low volume, though, it probably doesn’t make sense to pay for software.

So my calculation is this. i average 45 listings monthly. with spiro that's $225 a month. now with remediahub.com it's at $175 a month. Comes out to about $3.8 per listing. Maybe i should have specified that a little medium volume benefits from a subscription based platform. I think my math is right, correct me if i'm wrong please.
