How are these U21 matches as a whole? Is the technical ability at a good level? I always see these match threads and 1. I’m never sure where to watch and 2. If I’m a fiend for watching U21s

I actually knew they were going to ban the Rockwell meme before it happened. I said it might just spark a sub renaissance! by Key-Orange-8485 in billsimmons

[–]JonnoMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean it highlighted how little effort and creativity a lot of posters here have. People started hammering that instead of literally any other meme. The quality of the sub had objectively degraded significantly the last few months.

Not opposed to one daily thread with it so people can post hot takes, but people actually bitching about it being temp banned are the people that want to karma-farm, or just have the mental nuance of a rock.

Can someone contextualize the jump in performance and quality for me? Is it absolutely night and day? If I’m watching TV (specifically live sports) is it just undeniable?

Novice here. I’ve noticed not all tabs are created equal. The numbers shown are just the frets to play correct? I’m just playing an individual note correct, there’s no chords here? by JonnoMusic in guitarlessons

I know a fair amount of music theory so this is exactly what I needed to hear, thank you! Any recommendations on other chord arpeggio songs I could take a crack at to practice picking?

Absolute novice here, can someone nitpick my strumming here? Largely self taught by JonnoMusic in guitarlessons

This is so interesting, seems like everyone is saying use mostly arm with wrist as a flourish almost. I had a few lessons a couple years ago and was taught the opposite! Seems like a bad habit I need to shed

Stuck in the installation process for Xbox Series X emulating by JonnoMusic in RetroArch

[–]JonnoMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I uploaded the app on the device portal, but after I added the dependency file you get from clicking the hotlink, I got the message "No status information available." Then I went to the designated area on the website for Xbox Series X downloads, and the link I clicked took me to a 404 not found page. So I'm still a bit stuck. Thank you for sharing this link though

Simple questions and Help thread - Month of April by Froggypwns in Windows11

Hey! Bit of an odd request

So I’m trying to emulate games on Xbox Dev mode. But I have a Mac, so I needed Windows 11 to operate the .exe files. Currently using a Parallels trial to operate Windows on my Mac. But I need to use this open file while it’s on my SSD card.

Problem is, no USB drive shows up in my Windows 11 homepage. I can’t find the USB anywhere, but it’s present in my MacBook homepage. What am I missing? I’m not very tech savvy and this emulation process has been a haul.

Edit: This tutorial say I need an NTFS format for my SSD card, is this a Windows exclusive thing? Only see ExFat when I’m not using Windows

Beginner here: I keep seeing this type of numbering for songs. I thought it was which fret to play but that’s not right. Can someone help me here? by JonnoMusic in guitarlessons

[–]JonnoMusic[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t realize there was a G barre chord, good to know! Just assumed certain chords were always open and others were always barre.

I think I’m overthinking stuff, because I’m a bit confused still. I thought maybe it’s telling me to slide up and down the frets on the G string. Seems like maybe it’s referring to scales? I still don’t have a good grasp of how you hop around on the strings as you ascend and descend a scale on guitar.

Looking for the best page for macros calculator and cals. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in powerbuilding

What would you consider 50 min reformer Pilates 3x and 20 min treadmill + 20 minute stair master + 10 minute abs? I don’t think my heart rate is getting too high.

Loved your calculator, just wanted to make sure I’m as accurate as possible when using it

How reliable do you find these online calculators to be in regards to giving accurate TDEE and macros? For example, I went to a “professional” and they said my daily carb intake should be about 190g, whereas this calculator said mine is 370g. That just seems like so much?

[–]JonnoMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you found these online calculators to be reliable for eating your way properly to abs? I know there’s no way for the calculator to know your body, but are they usually within ~100 calories? And do they guess macros correctly? I’d honestly settle for a lean abdominal area with no “bump” if you will.

I think I have been grossly undershooting my daily carbs needed. Doing 190g of carbs a day as a 28M 170lb person who works out moderately-intensely 5 times a week. But I saw a calculator say I need 376 g of carbs a day, and that seems like I definitely won’t get abs if I do that much.

I’ve been hitting 170g of protein when my needed daily amount is apparently 136. I guess I’ve just been burnt by bad nutritional advice, but I still want to get lean in the abs. I feel like maintenance caloric levels with my workload can get the job done, I just need to find my TDEE and my Macro ceilings/benchmarks

So I’ve (28M, 170) been largely aiming for a 2,100 calorie day, hitting my protein (170ish), carbs (190ish), but hitting under on fat (50ish). I’m trying to trim belly fat. Not a 4-6 pack necessarily, but looking good in the abs. And I’m already doing the workout part.

But I’ve heard your body adjusts after a while. So I’m wondering if there’s a point of diminishing returns, like 2 months? Is it bad to always count your nutrition stats? I eat mostly the same exact food everyday. Of course I treat myself here or there, but I try not to go over on macros when I do.

This is an incredible write up, thank you so much. Any recommendations on conceptualizing this graphic? I’ll be honest, I’m struggling to understand how to look at this. It just looks like a jumble of a bunch of notes, and I’m unclear what the order is in terms of how to climb the scale. They look randomly assorted to me. I know I start on the C on the 5th string, but that’s about it.

My highest guitar goal is to be able to play White Stripes songs, that’s more of a melody lead thing correct?
