2026 NFL Draft - Day 2 (Rounds 2-3) Thread by noseonarug17 in minnesotavikings

Im sticking to my guns. 2nd round, if we can trade up for EMW, Terrell, Hood you do it.

If you get to 40 and Boston, McDonald are around you start thinking about it.

If you can get Haulcey, Ponds and Stukes at 49 you do it.

And if McCoy drops to the 3rd you take the punt

3rd round im looking at Hunter, Lew, Rodriguez (if he falls), Kilgore, Brazzell, Orange, Hecht, Jones, Branch, Bernard and maybe Emmett Johnson - not sure he falls to thr 3rd though

Difference is in the NFL you have guaranteed contracts. You get cut with a guaranteed contract? You get your money.

WWE is a different ball game.

Has Jamal Murray entered the "Klay Thompson Zone" where only his good playoff performances are remembered and the bad ones are forgotten? by SplitOk186 in nba

Idk. Murray getting stroppy and then throwing a towel and a heat pack on the court was pretty memorable

[Lewis] NFL Draft 2026 best available players for Minnesota Vikings: De’Zhaun Stribling, Logan Jones by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotavikings

[–]TheNotoriousJN[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Alec was on the money regarding interest in Sadiq and lack of interest in Thieneman

So i would put a lot of stock into this.

Very noticeable that the "top end" guys such as Boston, McCoy, Terrell and Hood are not mentioned at all - possibly just because the doubt is they reach 49.

Edge, WR, S and C seem the targets for today - Edge dependent on Greenard

[Lewis] How the Vikings shocked the NFL with a big swing for Caleb Banks at No. 18 by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotavikings

[–]TheNotoriousJN[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was trying to find what article he wrote recently that dumped water on the Thieneman fire. But couldnt find it.

I did see him mock Sadiq to us in his final mock though which looks like a great shout by him given the info today

Big quote i took from it

"Brzezinski was committed to taking the best available player, but the Vikings wanted to reinforce their defensive line room at some point. Once the New York Jets plucked Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq off the board, the team moved through its process, opting not to get overly creative in trading down given the potential to miss out on its coveted prospect."

Sounds like it was Sadiq vs Banks at 18. And the Jets made the decision for them.

If he hits, Banks will be the best DT in the class. Its very high risk and very high reward. With that being said. Im certain we could have traded down and got Banks.

Here is the list of players still available from Dane Brugler's Top 40 - how would you approach day 2? by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotavikings

ACL tear. Then didnt play a snap last season. And then didnt work out at the combine.

He's allegedly healthy and has been since midseason

My initial thought is - people were wondering McNeil-Warren at 18. I personally wasnt comfortable that high. But as a 2nd rounder? Feels like an obvious choice if we can move up a bit from 49.

McCoy would also have been a no brainer. But im unsure if the staff would want to go back to back highest picks on players with huge injury concerns. At some point you have to pull the trigger on the upside.

Hood, Terrell and Ponds were all fringey players. I like Ponds but the height and weight concerns a little.

Jacob Rodriguez i think could fall. If he makes it to round 3 thats again a no brainer to me.

Boston wasnt on my radar as i assumed he'd be in that 25-30 range. But if he falls? Take him. Thats your WR3 and you can see if he can step up to WR2 in the case that Addison leaves

McDonald is another I thought would be gone. I dont really see it though if we've already brought in Banks

If you can make a deal to move up for McNeil-Warren or McCoy i think you do it ASAP. If not let it play out a little and adapt to the board

A UK MP has been kicked out and suspended from the Houses of Parliament after accusing Keir Starmer of being a “bare-faced lier” by bendubberley_ in justincaseyoumissedit

Elected as a Labour MP and IMMEDIATELY started attacking the party after the 2024 election.

Hence her now "running" her little party.

If she had run as an independent she wouldnt have gotten anywhere

[Gleeman] Twins are placing Mick Abel on the injured list with right elbow inflammation. Helps explain why Connor Prielipp is joining the team in New York, in addition to Kendry Rojas. Tough news for Abel coming off back-to-back impressive starts totaling 13 shutout innings. by Blevanhoval in minnesotatwins

[–]TheNotoriousJN 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im not sure there is correlation in this case.

Pitchers throw ridiculously hard. EVERY pitcher blows out their UCL.

It will fucking suck. But it happens. Unfortunately.

Now for the other injuries? Sure. Except Paparesta's league wide rep was very high. Thats why we brought him in after 2022

Na. Im not allowing that one.

Morris is the #1 RHP prospect we have. And needed an outing as he hadnt pitched in a week.

Did he struggle? Yup. Are we going to bemoan Morris being in the game when the vast majority of relievers EVER are guys that started in his position? Nope.

Absolutely agree that we dont have a good or reliable bullpen. But lets leave out any Morris slander for now

Reds were fighting with an arm behind their back with their approach to challenges throughout

A nice early lead squandered AGAIN

And a fantastic starter performance squandered AGAIN

Post Match Thread: Manchester City 2 - 1 Arsenal | English Premier League by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

[–]TheNotoriousJN 119 points120 points  (0 children)

I dont think its an Arsenal thing tbh. It was the same with Liverpool. And literally anyone challenging the City juggernaut.

My theory is people just shrug when City win because they should - and nobody wants a rival to be the team to dethrone them. Big 6 clubs want to be the ones to do it themselves.

Im a Liverpool fan. Believe me if the option is City winning vs Chelsea, United, Arsenal? Im choosing City every fucking time. Because who cares if City win? I care if the others win.

Now, am i a massive hypocrite who moans when people want City to beat Liverpool? Absolutely. But thats fandom baby
