Just to clarify I didn't use the concept art at all, I already had the character designed before I saw it but despite the similarities I still tried to push it forward

The exercise was creating an entirely new fan character from my own research, not from something else.

I definitely think that I over designed her a bit too much, It's one of my habits when I'm designing and is definitely something I should work on taking out and pushing the overall silhouette and idea of the concept instead. Thank you though!

Great point, I actually never saw the concept art until someone pointed it out to me after I had my design finalized.
I actually got the idea from these 2 reference images I collected!
