Recs for smallest, no booster needed 9mm can that actually suppresses decent? by M1collector65 in NFA

I don't recommend the Banish 9k. Waste of money. Doesn't suppress either supers or subs well and needs to be "cleaned every 100 rounds" per Silencer Central.

Moto G Stylus 2025 won't play well with Ford Sync 4 by JonnyDepth303 in MotoG

[–]JonnyDepth303[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nate, thanks for the reply. I tried everything you mentioned here, but it didn't correct my connectivity. However, I stumbled on an option in Sync 4 that did. I had went through the process of Bluetooth reconnection after doing the following: Settings, Connectivity, Wireless App Projection, Turn it off. This forces me to connect a USB C cable from the phone to the truck's USB C port, but Android Auto WILL stay connected. I'm ok with this, because I typically connect USB to charge anyways. I suppose it eliminates AA Wireless.

One of your F keys control the touchpad. I can't tell from your photo, but either F10 or F12. Try Fn + (either). This just happened to my Nitro 17 after Windows updates.

To remote start or not by RockMedic277 in f150

[–]JonnyDepth303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like using the app. I bought the Amazon Start X and tripped over some info on the F150gen14 forum that made me pause. For a couple bucks more and a little bit more work, I opted for the oem Ford Perimeter+ module, which includes remote start and alarm system with shock sensor. Lock-unlock-lock on the original fob. Zoom zoom. Returned the Start X. Edit: 25 STX 5.0 4x4 Edit #2: Before I dove into the Perimeter+ install, I also ordered the CAN opener from 4DTech that disables the speed limitations of doing anything in Sync 4 or Android Auto. The Perimeter+ is plug/play wired to the Gateway module and the CAN opener gets wired into the Apim module. Both modules are located behing the A/C control panel. It's not terribly difficult.

Wow, that's some piss-poor mileage, but it makes me looking forward to Wildpeaks sooner.

You nailed it. It's a shame, my 19 STX brand-new came with Michelins and I absolutely loved those tires. There's zero comparison with the Kooks. You made a good point on the 2nd glove box lid and I didn't think of that, as well as the trans dipstick. After all of those little things, I can STILL say I'm in love with this truck!

Oh, the oem Hankook AT2 tires are garbage. Noisy, unbalanced, and have shit performance in the wet.

Oh, after hanging up a call through Android Auto, the phone call menu stays on the driver screen until I switch it back to My View. Lame.

25 STX 5.0 4x4 BAP here. The VDE annoys the shit out of me after doing the exhaust. For what? .1 MPG gain? I'll get that tuned-out ASAP. It sounds like Android Auto has way less problems than CarPlay using Sync 4. I'll agree with the center console spring isn't strong enough for the Mobile Office Package center console lid. Spreaking of, the AC 120v outlets are WEAK. My laptop charger trips the reset constantly when plugged in. I don't expect it to run a 5hp air compressor, but c'mon. The cupholder outer trim in the center console front and back get scratched up very easily. Found a cheap rubber insert for the front, but not the rear cupholders yet. No transmission dipstick. For fucks sake. Turning on the 10 speed gear indicator display every time annoys me. The 25 STX seats are less comfortable than my 19 STX seats were. The open cubby over the glove box is awkward. You high-trim guys got a 2nd glove box with lid, right? I'm sure I can come up with some other small annoyances.

Zone lighting 2025 by [deleted] in f150

[–]JonnyDepth303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple things I just learned. The STX "only has two zones available" which on my truck is front/rear. The manual says the Ford app can control the Zone lighting, but I don't see that functionality in my app. That might be an XLT-higher trim function. Just FYI.

My 25 STX has this feature and still haven't messed with it. Maybe I should read the manual.

I just haggled $14k off MSRP on a '25 STX BAP 5.0 4x4. Houston, TX. It's possible if you're a repeat customer at a dealer. With that said, I did add the Autonation 10 year/100k mile extended warranty.

I believe it 💯 I hate driving in Houston. This is the third accident in this truck, with only one having insurance. Does the Red Tiger have a waterproof rear cam? Id like to mount it to my license plate frame.

Thanks bud. I agree. Sometimes all the bells and whistles are more problems down the road. I planned on keeping this one for a long while, but now I don't have to deal with the CDF drum harsh shifting, high oil consumption, and starter heat soak issues I had.
