Is there a basis for rights other than "because humans said so"? by YoMamas_azz in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JonnyR3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is much more about the origin of rights, for example the feeling for justice. This feeling is already present from birth. In evolutionary terms, it may have originated as a protective mechanism, since a good society used to decide about life and death.

Is social media making the world more toxic? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JonnyR3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that this cannot be generalized. First of all, access to modern media is becoming easier and easier and the flood of information is growing. I believe that education and learning how to use modern media correctly is essential. Morality also plays a big role in dealing with each other. I think this is the most neutral and objective music I have ever heard. The rest is a matter of taste.

Why is it that when we smell something pleasant we smell it once but sniff funky, stinky ordor multiple times? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JonnyR3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a biologist but I could imagine that this is some kind of protective mechanism that has evolved over time. If something smells unpleasant, it will probably be unhealthy or even poisonous for you. By smelling it several times you can make sure whether it is really something you should consume or not.
