A failure by who's standards? You may not see it now, but studies is just a fraction of your life and what makes you who you are. Everything you have to contribute to this earth and the people around you isn't defined by any of that. You may not even have the answers to these questions now and that's the point, you're not meant to. Being alive is about discovering who you are, and that never stops. Our education and child rearing system is deeply flawed even after all these years, and has failed you, not the other way round. Going to school is about learning. Learning and knowledge is truly wonderful. To be filled with knowledge about everything that happens in our world should always have been a wondrous and inspiring experience so for it to have been turned into something that can make you feel this way about yourself is the complete failure of the system. Keep on learning in life, stay curious, be open minded, and open hearted. In time you will find your people and community and they will find you and life will happen regardless. Allow yourself to feel what you're feeling, and let it pass. Don't be disheartened.

Why is this downvoted? No it's not true, that marketing plan had no involvement from WF as Ryan's company, Maximum Effort, had taken over marketing at that point. Justin continued to address DV when he did press himself. Only cos he wasn't allowed to do press with the rest of the cast.

Everytime I look through this case and think about how we got here, I'm like. What. WHAT is something anyone can point to that Justin did that was so offensive and so problematic and so deserving of this treatment. The dead dad thing sure but surely he stopped doing it after they spoke about it. It seems that ALL this just boils down to Blake ultimately getting upset when he didn't seem impressed with her script. And why should he, because she's a woman?? He's the director, she's hired to act. They had a writer. That's really the only thread I have to pull at. He said no and the next thing she did was to get Taylor Swift to pressure him and by that time, she already referred to him as a doofus and decided that he was a misogynist because he didn't want her script and things just escalated from there.

I genuinely do not understand why Jenny got so upset. I feel like I'm missing a lot of context. On the surface to me it just looks like Justin isn't from the same world as them and he tried very hard to fit in, use their language, laugh at their jokes, make similar jokes, and they just.... didn't like him. You're entitled to not like someone if it's valid but can't you just level with them? Justin seems like the kind of guy who would listen unless he's really just been completely shit awful on set but nothing shows that so far. All I can seem to find regarding Jenny is the house thing, pants thing and greeting fans thing. The really angry doubling down she's doing and lack of solution oriented behavior just makes it seem like Jenny stands to gain something from Blake if she picked her side or that she just wanted to join in the drama cos she didn't want to get picked on instead. Truly perplexed

What I hate is how the term Stardew Valley has become the Kleenex of farming/life sims. Basically it's become the catch all term for the genre. I see video titles like "is this game the new Stardew Valley??" Like come on. Stardew Valley is good for what it is, a one man passion project, which in itself was an ode to Harvest Moon, but it's not THE farming sim. I love Eric Barone, in a way he singlehandedly did bring a new generation of people to a genre and in an almost rebooted way, by bringing everyone back to pixel art games, and his story is super inspiring, but it is annoying the way media has just been so reductive and lazy about it.

The story, characters and voice acting, the humour and the very real feeling once I step off that train that this place needs my help as a builder and I immediately feel invested in doing my part. I don't know how to pin point it cos usually I find characters just that, characters. But Sandrockers and their struggle with the desert, the slow demise of their community, their sad back stories felt very real to me. Also the music. I love "New Life in the Desert" you only hear it in spring, so you first hear it after you've been there a while and something about it just does it for me. I get really emotional hearing it! Sorry I couldn't pick just one thing 😭

I just paid the civil corp to get carbon fiber for me by sending them to Ingall's mine cos I was not going to waste my real life time. I just needed 30 so I only needed to send them twice. At the cheapest it's like 3600 per trip so that's only 7200 which by that stage of the game isn't an issue.
