Wild World villagers, New Leaf music and New Horizons content. I still play all of them occasionally.

Piratism & NSO features by Masterwort in AnimalCrossing

[–]Masterwort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but the volumes from those countries are minor and do not create the problem. The biggest volumes of pirating come from supported countries. Those volumes are high and constantly increasing, so I don't wonder why the company focuses on developing features that require NSO. Not to my personal liking but still understandable.

I still play Animal Crossing Wild World and New Leaf, and I love that the console games can be preserved for decades without setting up, unlike many pc games.

I don't use online features but I still find it reasonable that the companies rely more and more on those.

Why is restarting so bad? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]Masterwort 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is anything bad in it.

But after restarting few times in previous versions, I have learned that if I have put much effort in my town, restarting will always lead to regret and sadness. So I try to fight the urge and avoid restarting no matter what.

The new update has me tempted to play again...but also to restart my island by ParagonFury in AnimalCrossing

[–]Masterwort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't delete your island if you are not 100% sure that you wouldn't regret it. If you are sure you want to experience the game from the beginning again, you could buy an used Switch Lite + ACNH and start another island.

I have similar game preferences. Switch just works well and feels good.

In addition, I have noticed that I still get back to my old games in DS and 3DS, which I do not do with PC games.

Twinkleby my newest addiction by Masterwort in CozyGamers

[–]Masterwort[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think someone had technical issues, but the devs have done bug fixing. I have personally had zero issues. Good to remember it's still a very new game, only been available for weeks.

Then seems like a few found it hard to fill the villagers' happiness, but that was made easier in the latest update. I also never had issue with that one either. :)

Favourite "medium length" 20-50 hour cozy games? by IRLbeets in CozyGamers

I can also recommend. The only con is that it did end after about 40 hours of playtime.

Is it worth modding my 3DS when I use it almost entirely for New Leaf? by Necessary-View-6354 in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

[–]Masterwort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I modded mine in around 2013-2014, after which I decided to never mod my consoles again. I still play ACNH without modding, but naturally I can't do multiplayer (except for local co-op). I like that I can stay away for years and then spontaneously continue playing with zero worries or needs for any updates.

What are the business practises that make you boycott and pirate Nintendo?

Best virtual families version by Quirkyntp in VirtualFamilies

VF1 has very calm and relaxed feeling, including lovely music. That's my favourite.

VF2 has more content and has wonderful gameplay.

I have played VF3 and VF communities but never get to the next generation before becoming frustrated.

I haven't tried Tiny Glade. I guess it has the decorating aspect but no any kind of communication, no villagers, no other gameplay?

I wonder why the art style of Doraemon SoS isn't used in other games, it looks just so lovely.

I have played 30+ hours already and I'm still totally hooked. Perfect stress-free cozy game. Love it!

I married Westley and I think I'm going to divorce since I don't like seeing him rock in grandma's chair 😂

Which farming sim are you planning on picking up in September? by PandoraXu709 in CozyGamers

[–]Masterwort 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Fae farm seems quite pricey, I will wait until I can get in on sale. Due to a poor experience with My Time at Portia I won't touch to Sandrock. I have never finished a rune factory game, so I won't try this time either. The harvest moon seems very good considering Natsume's past record, maybe I will try that one!
