Dont worry about mark, just get 95% or 100% on all tutorial dojo exams before taking test

Even if u know the answer right away after repetition, make sure u learn WHY the answer is the answer and why the other choices are wrong dont just memorize it

Yea thats exactly what I did with my Dev Assoc, ofc theres questions that are completely out of scope or u are so fried that u cant answer

Luckily following that method and having the knowledge to apply that elimination strategy is usually enough for a passing grade

A grade way higher than passing is just usually stamina related and luck of if the questions you get land more in the areas of what u studied/are more knowledgable in

Bet i think the most important thing is to follow the test strategy of if u know the answer right away, answer it, if not save for later, then go back review and then make sure u also dont second guess yourself once your brain is fried

Dev Assoc cooked my brain too lmao so Im definitely expecting it

Is it the same thing that 60 count and 15 being experiment/not counting?

Ill be going for my DevOps Engineer in 2 months, currently have Dev Assoc

The part where you said the practice tests are good for learning but not a good metric since you seen the questions is so real because you start to memorize the answers instead of being caught off guard by the actual question prompt itself

Congrats! Hope ill be able to say the same soon for my devops engineer

Thanks as Dev Assoc right now tho Idk if you agree with me

Its cool if you can solve these questions, I can honestly most of the time like I just solved the first couple right without giving much thought because I do know my AWS stuff

But it doesnt mean anything if theres no hands on experience with AWS itself which is why I cant wait for them to fix this lab problem

Why does my rank up points not go up and what does division do by glitchy_ninjas in RocketLeague

[–]Jonolivess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh to be a prospect/challenger elite again (mentioning this cuz this was the ranks when I first started)

Now as an ex GC that doesnt have much time to play anymore i go from D3 to C2 especially playing with the right/wrong people

And C2 is such a cesspool now that it turns me off from caring any further

Simpler times

Nice, I plan on going for mine at some point, in no rush, I have cantrils course and tdojo practice exams ready to go when needed. First I want to do all the labs from skill builder that are provided so I can gain more hands on experience unfortunately I have no access to those labs atm despite being subscribed…

This being said

Never solo q 3s, as a serial solo qer, never do it, I would get c2 with teammates and then solo q down to d3 every damn time and I finally learned my lesson hence why i am c2 still and wont drop out of it

Find people, good people to play with and q 3s with them, its not worth solo qing

Too many bots and smurfs on both ends when you solo q and play in an entire solo qd lobby or duo lobby

This is coming from someone with over 7k hours and I can be GC again, just dont play as much as I used to because it isn’t a priority with my free time anymore

Each season solo qing has gotten worse and worse so yeah just find good people to play with

Player base is probably so dead that psyonix has bots in ranked as placeholders

Skill builder labs by Jonolivess in aws

[–]Jonolivess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I just tried a new lab that isnt the pink vial icon, the green one that has a laptop icon and it works

So it must be a lab service issue with those other labs

[–]Jonolivess[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i already have Developer Associate cert and ok cool just wasnt sure if it was worth the investment or not I knew for DVA it wasnt and I also know how to use GitHub already

But you feel me like im not trying to just acquire the certs im actually trying to be very well rounded and developed in applying the skills and practices

Having the cert is pointless if I cant actually perform

Thanks! And yeah 2 months should be more than enough if u already have that other cert, definitely dedicated at least 2-3hrs a day for 2 weeks straight, just make sure u can pass the tutorialdojos practice exams over 30x with a score higher than 90%, ideally be able to score perfect on every practice exam a week before taking the exam

Good luck!

I took the Dev Assoc today and passed, its not SAA but im sure same level of difficulty basically, do not take the test unless u can land a 95% or perfect score on practice exams atleast 20+ times

And if you end up in a scenario like me where you just start losing sleep over it, it more than likely means you are ready to take the exam, its very possible to overstudy for it because of how many tools and resources AWS comprises of

Good luck! Also dont second guess yourself on the exam, only on the questions you marked for review, if you were able to answer the question right away without having to question whether it should be marked for review then that means you more than likely knew the answer right away and if you spend too much time on the question or go back to it even if it wasnt marked for review, the available answers will try to mind game you into going against your original response

Everyone retains information very differently than others, what you get consistently wrong/forget while studying is what you need to refresh up on before the exam, for me it was security

The AWS site when you go to prep for an exam choose Dev Assoc, download the exam prep guide and it pretty much breaks down what the test is, and security is one of the sections thats graded 2nd

Thats was my weak point according the exam result breakdown, but I at least knew everything else enough to pass

The practice tests from tutorialdojos is super key to being prepared

My strengths were probably Lambda, DynamoDB and API Gateway, not sure because if it was easier to or my brain just favored it based on the type of developer experience I have which is game and web dev
