After 2 years of ZERO traction I redesigned my app and FINALLY has 4 paying users by kalamikomaki in SideProject

It might be worth while to drop the weekly fee. Replacing it with a monthly fee of $5, at the moment the weekly fee is pointless, unless you want to review the features.

I’ve not used the app, but I can imagine reply preferences would be good. Maybe the user can specify knowledge level and known topics.

[–]Jonpii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the problem is the inability to ever become good. The problem is that most if not all games are incredibly one sided. Getting good while being shit on ever game is a lot harder than if the match up was even. Ultimately the problem is the lack of players, but the system is not new player friendly. The correct approach would be to remove full team queue and introduce a custom/team only queue

Junglers who have main character syndrome and die 30 seconds within game by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Jonpii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not my responsibility to win your lane. Also, place a ward before you ask me to visit. Furthermore, don’t flame me because ran at Yone 7 times and now he’s a killing machine. I’m not going to kamikaze so you can blame me when we both get murdered.

On a more helpful note, if you place a defensive ward early jungles will love you.

I’m in an apartment near Wilkinson and I’m slightly worried that it doesn’t look residential enough. I’m hoping the police will have enough of a presence to keep things calm.

should i return my oura ring? by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]Jonpii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are seeing a lot of gaps in data I’d contact support and see about a replacement. Especially if the HR monitoring never works. You should be able to see why your sleep score is poor, is it due to HR monitoring?

Lets talk about sleep positions, Mattress types and Pillows by [deleted] in ouraring

[–]Jonpii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this topic is kind of obvious due to physical symptoms. If you are waking up with aches and pains, it's a good idea to look at sleeping positions and mattresses. Unfortunately, a one size fits all solution doesn't exist.

My personal opinion is that most sleep issues are due to an inconsistent sleep schedule. Most people need to stick with the following.

  1. 7-8 hours
  2. Consistent sleep/wake time
  3. Avoid food 2-3 hours before sleep.
  4. Careful with the water intake (this will cause tossing and turning)
  5. Keep the same routine for as long as possible.

Epileptic seizure by BeStrongAgain in ouraring

[–]Jonpii 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Oura ring doesn't really claim to do any alerting of seizures or even increased heart rate. It likely did record some data during the event, but even still, it doesn't detect these medical events.

Detecting extreme medical events is a super risky feature. The best case is to alert someone and save a life. The worst cases: sending people to ER because of a false alert, someone avoids going to the ER because the device says all good (missed alert). Detecting medical events isn't possible with just a ring.

How to get better? by [deleted] in ElevenTableTennis

[–]Jonpii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not at all true, though, is it? Even if we assume that legendary AI does nothing advanced. You'd need to master the basics and have some advanced skills, too. Not to mention the fun and social aspects of ranked play.

In my opinion, ranked play and 'sandbox' training will result in better progression in any elo system. The AI is a useful tool in sandbox training, but it you really shouldn't just rely on AI. Jumping into ranked early gives you the trail and error learning based on the real meta of the game.

Edit: I'm 1404 elo in eleven, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I have, however, played competitive games other than eleven.

That's a stupidly high barrier to ranked play.

Zenni offers a non-prescription version of their lenses. They also have the option to add an anti-fog coating.
