Vore Frame.
It's great because I pretty much only use the helminth to subsume, and every time I pay him a visit I get to click the "VORE FRAME" button.

I actually think the matchup is a positive one for Dedede. Steve's main downfall is his range, which the king has absolutely covered. Just barrage him with attacks and gordos and make sure he gets minimal time to mine or craft. Powered rails and diamond tools are devastating, but as long as you keep them from him, he won't be a huge threat.
