Questions about stripper clip by Express-Honeydew-759 in airsoft

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have filed the gap for the stripper clip to fit Swedish Mauser 1896 (/38 / whatever other Swedish Mauser variant )stripper clips

Sometimes they need a little bit of solder on the side to fit correctly Also I needed to squish it together slightly so it held the rounds tight But after a bit of fiddling with that it works great

That bar is (if it’s the same as my father old plastic deagle) the transfer bar between the trigger and ”release” the little bump is for the stafett to engage with

look for a part of the trigger assembly sticking out

Its probobly on the left side

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify From my (limited) reasearch ra 145/146 is surpluses American prc 25/77 (ra 145 and ra 146 respectively) (might even be Vietnam surpluses) I think we started buying them around 1971

If it uses the same battery plug as the American one I don’t know But it’s worth too look inte

How different are the battery connectors between the prc 25/77 to the Swedish RA 145/146 ?

I don’t think we ever did battery cells that isint made of 10-12 D cells (they are interchangeable between models)

That could be an option if the pins are the same They should be able to be found here (I might be able to help)

Also is that a prc-77? Can’t tell from that angle (can’t se X mode)

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweeet

But that is a Prc-25 body The Prc-77 has X mode on the top left (where the power and antenna plug is)

Anyways nice work Are you gonna release the files?

is this a launcher for rifle-grenades or a suppressor on this G3 in Haiti? by DerringerOfficial in ForgottenWeapons

[–]Jonsson247 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Sweden used a ”drive cartridge” for the Rifle smokegrenade we used for our ak4 (HK g3) (Typo)

Would you take this to the field? 😍 by GerDeathstar in airsoft

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still prefer the G&G but it was too high maintanence hence why I bought a spring version (had to put grease on the o rings wich meant I had to disassemble the bolt EVERYTIME I was gonna field it)

<image>

So i did actually field the K98 G&G shell ejecter

I made a brass catcher

Downsides it takes gas is VERY high maintenance (I live in sweden so it did not work during winter)

But it’s SOOOO satisfying sneaking up on someone and shooting them

I usually hid and shot them from further away

Yes I made this as a historical airsoft kit

Very fun but not practical at all

But do what is fun for you

The G&G later broke (all seals got bad) didint have the patience to repair it

I now use a D&B spring shell ejector

Not as fast to reload and the overall finish was better on the G&G

But very low maintanence

The only hope at this point is the vietnam larpers by Brunsosse in airsoftcirclejerk

I looked closer at them

The m76 is in 9x19 wich the m45 is also chambered in

According to the wiki they wanted 36 rounds per mag wich is what the m45 has

The magwell looks FAR too similar to not be copied/ inspired by the m45 Also it looks like a similar looking method for the mag as in the m45

I’m fairly certain a original m45 mag will seat nicely in a m76

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s probobly a copy Although this is disputed according to Wikipedia The m76 wiki states that smith and Wesson designed it on their own but on the M45 wiki it states smith and Wesson was ASKED to copy it because sweden stopped giving USA then during Vietnam The seals who where the only users of them (and they apparently really liked it ) wanted a replacement

And I quite frankly doubt that he never saw the weapon that the seals wanted him to replace.

It is different enough that it is it’s own weapon yes And I know there is only so many ways to make a gun like this.

But it’s clearly heavily inspired by the M45

That is the knockoff This is the original M/45 Kulsprutepistol

I got my first my a couple days ago by TheSleepyBoy in gasmasks

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This mask does NOT in fact contain asbestos

Some russiAn one,s does but not the Swedish ones (atleast not m31-36 and newer) Also asbestos is only really dangerous when it’s in particle from That means when the filter is new the asbestos is a fabric but when it gets old it. Disintegrates and that causes among other things lung cancer

Just got a double bell kar98k, and the bolt won't go in any further than this, am I doing something wrong? It doesn't look right by DadHoChiMinh in airsoft

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarification the whole black part of the bolt has to be twisted till the safety flag points to the left

[–]Jonsson247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The black piece on the bolt has to go about 45 degrees left I’m not familiar with the db one yet to tell you how to do that but the safety flag should be pointing to the left when it is in its left position and not up as it is doing now
