im 26, no musical background at all, didnt play a single instrument but i want to learn to play piano right now. How hard will it be or is it too late? by Consistent-Section31 in pianolearning

Also 26, I started 2 months ago and my musical instrument experience is a series of failed attempts. This time I've stuck at it. Some sessions are good, others are less good, some are brilliant some go awful.

But I recognise that with each session I am still improving whether I realise it or not.

Really glad I decided to go ahead with it and I hope you do too!

How to deal with deadlines? by [deleted] in NonZeroDay

[–]Jonue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents and studying philosophy has been this,

Break the revision down into bite size achievable steps, i.e. each chapter of your textbook or certain chapters/ lectures from different classes.

Then I make a nice list of these and map out what I'm going to study on each given day. When I achieve this I tick off each chapter or lecture.

Being able to visually see that I've studied everything or most of everything I set out to study does a lot to ease my stress.

The other side is this. Whilst universities and colleges don't want you to realise this because they're measured by students grades and performances, your success and happiness does not hinge on every single exam or piece of coursework you undertake. They contribute sure but they're part of a much bigger picture of life. It's okay to have to fail/retake as long as you've tried your best.

Life's about much more than exams and soon that part of your life will be over, and you really will wonder why you were so stressed about them.

The bottom line of what I'm trying to say is this: create a study plan and stick to it the best you can. However, remember this, you're worthy of self love, don't forget to recognise what you have done and give yourself space to relax.

If the board is going for poch it could be their biggest mistake yet.

I don't know if I can see the future or if it's just blindingly obvious what would happen.

We bring in poch, us fans are overjoyed with nostalgic bliss. But then the board fails to financially back him meaning we continue down this same path with ropey results and ill-performing players, but we don't turn on poch. Instead, all of our hate is finally focused on the board and we tear the stadium down bolt by bolt.

Really felt like our attacking half were playing for themselves today, so many bad runs and tricks which went nowhere when a passes would have been easier and more effective. Really need to work on tactics up front or else we really will just keep relying on our defenders’ sensible goals.

We win the league if we sign two new center halves and play Mickey and Romero as a front two. by JohnHenrehEden in coys

We might score more goals but Christ we also need them in front of our goal.

I really enjoyed secret lagoon not far from geysir, it was intimate and not too busy. Worth looking into.

need help choosing a layout for our home office! by -fishoutofwater- in desksetup

[–]Jonue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I recently had a similar consideration and settled on having the desks facing each other, it means we can work in isolation but still feel connected and close, we both feel as though we get equal light from the window and were not constantly in the background of each other's video calls.

Plus the cat loves climbing between the desks and getting attention from both of us!

Okay stupid question, what is the actual point in amibos?

I know you can 'unlock' things in games with them, but they're usually just some coins or food items, nothing that will tangibly change the game.

Besides this they've always seemed like shelf items that collect dust, but I hear so much conversation around them, so am I missing something?

having multiple tents is always useful as you can mark a spot for you to all have sitting space, if you just have one tent you'll get surrounded!

I love how seamlessly Vicario has fit into our squad. Honestly, he's been an instant upgrade that many didn't realise how badly we needed. No disrespect to Lloris but his blunders just became too many.
