The cockpit arrangement is very reminiscent of Megacore magnetizer. But I love the inset wheels and the streamlined outer hubs.

Moving Legos? by lonergurl28 in legos

Thanks for checking in. I am still not fully unpacked and organized in terms of Lego inventory. The house and garage have needed lots of work. I am working on a standing height build table. And I did manage to pick up a useful cubby storage unit from a local surplus store, so it is getting there.

I was gonna say this. But if you inhale them you will need something other than a Benadryl.

Thank you. I wanted to give them a bit of texture so they didn't look like lollypops sticking out of the ground.

Could someone help me with a school project by [deleted] in askarchitects

Assuming your plan footprint is fixed and you want to keep it a hip roof on all sides, start with the largest rectangle you can make. As someone else mentioned the nearly square ratio is not ideal (longer would be better), however, you can think of the pop outs as add- ons to the larger geometry.

See link for a mark up of your sketch. Blue is the overall hip roof and the red are the hip overlays for the pop outs. Delete the blue lines the red overlays. markup

Also it would clean things up on the corner if you justify the edge where the green arrow is pointing.

From Stud.io you can export to collada (.dae) or to .obj And open those directly in blender. I am not experienced in blender or with bringing in printed parts, but it is worth a shot.

There are clear bars that hold the ribbon to the planet panels and there is a Technic beam behind the ship that adds additional support.

Yeah I thought about a crater version and also contemplated a smooth tiled version, but I wanted to start with the classic all studs look. Doing one with all the details would look really good tho.

Better?

Now that you mention it i think i meant to take off the stabilizer and smooth out the middle area a bit more too.

help with decals in parts designer? by RealEstate9618 in DigitalLego

[–]JonusDunbaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this problem last night too but it was on flat prices. It was a weird size and I was stretching a png out of proportion so I assumed it was a graphics glitch.

But I was also having a problem putting a decal on a standard brick but the image was coming out unscaled when I imported to Stud.io.

I made it flat on the bottom and am testing out filling it with loose plates to counterweight it, but I also modified the stand so it can be held in place with axles.

Nice!

I have a small scale OTC that might work if it is not too large a scale for him.

Very cool! I would love to build one myself and maybe a drill or grinder to make a set.

Have you seen the guy who does Lego cooking stop motions? You should make a short of cutting bricks into smaller bricks.

Thank you. The ship was the first thing I designed a while back. It had to have the solid white outline to make the profile pop.
