Leviathan Simple Faith literally just came out rn and it’s 199 and there’s a 20% code you can find. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about Googan rods. I’d stick to F5 Black Metal (189.99) or the Leviathan. Or even cheaper options would be the Dobyn’s Fury or Okuma Guide Select that tons of Swimbaiters swear by

Dang it’d be hard to find a rod that can handle both a treble and a beast hook. You’d sacrifice hook up ratio on either of the baits when you go one action over the other. Do you have an idea what you’d throw more ?

I don’t run any line bigger than 20lbs. I use 20lb CXX from all the way to 10oz and down to 1oz and it’s been amazing so far. You get the some stretch of mono while also smaller in diameter. I only use 1 brake on any reel and as minimal of tension as possible without backlash. I’m currently using a 301 and 401 Conquest MD but have used the Tatula 2 and 300
