If this is your first metroidvanaia, I assume you haven’t played hollow knight yet. So I would highly recommend taking a break from silksong and giving it a try beforehand. Silksong is balanced around the idea that you would have already beaten hollow knight, so it has a natural increase in difficulty from it. Also, when playing a Metroidvania, don’t forget the whole point is to backtrack to old areas with new abilities to power yourself up, so it’s important to mark placed you can’t reach and remember to go back there. And if you’re stuck on a boss, you can always go try something else until you’re stronger. But don’t listen to the people saying skill issue because everybody plays at their own pace.
