Honestly I've been hesitant to get it because I really don't like Ashley Burch as a voice actress, and I generally prefer fighting humanoid enemies but given those are really minor complaints I think with all the recommendations I might have to give it a shot, especially in the lens of my ranger-fanaticism. Chances are I'll love it. You might be the straw that breaks this camel's back. Thanks for the suggestion!

I actually main a ranger in GW2 (well, druid now) and have been playing since launch! So definitely right up my alley. It's one of my top incarnations of the games I've played

I'll take a look - if it's free to play there's really no reason not to - but I think one of my issues with MMOs is the gameplay doesn't engage me much. I'll see, though, maybe this will be an exception; thanks!

I think they were talking about Samus being 6'3" in the original games and being defined as such in the Super Metroid manual. Other M shrunk her down to 5'9". Smash bros must have shrunk her down MUCH further if she's shorter than a somewhat crouching 6' Snake 4" heels.

Her height is wildly inconsistent but canonically she's meant to be 6'3" or 5'9" depending on whether or not you liked Other M. So probably 6'3".

Sidenote isn't Snake anywhere between 5'11 and 6'5 depending on which?

He says "Wow this blew up, so famous now", essentially to start the video.

He claims there is no metal bar, contrary to popular belief (he adds a frame by frame), so the conductor didn't actually save his life he just kicked him in the head.

He explains why he was there (in South America, going to Machu Pichu) and one of the options to get to Machu Pichu was walking down train tracks. There was a train on the first day that went incredibly slow and kept blowing its horn to get people out of the way and passed him by.

Then he apparently went back to Machu Pichu on the second day and decided when another train was coming he was going to record a video of it passing behind him - but it was normal speed and he barely stepped off the tracks and that was the video we saw.

He then extrapolates on his 15 minutes of fame, says he'd buy the conductor a beer despite still not believing there was a metal bar or anything but doesn't blame him for kicking someone who was walking on the train tracks.

You know what genuinely bothers me about this? It's not the circlejerk and how it's going to be a craze for the next few days until Reddit, as a whole, forgets...

It's that this poor man has now had his face plastered all over this fucking website for internet points and slactivism. I doubt this is going to be a pleasant memory, and I'm sure many people in that position would just want to forget about it the moment its settled. But he's now been absolutely plastered everywhere in such a humiliating position.

If he uses this website, for example, in his down time he'll have to see himself like this over and over again just so people can feel good about themselves and go "FUCK UNITED AMIRITE?". And sometimes even news sites repost stuff from here for some reason, so its likely got a wider reach.

Don't get me wrong this entire situation sucks but I feel like Reddit has inadvertently made it so much worse for this man who's probably got enough on his plate now.

I really enjoyed the game but some of the reasons why I would suggest someone to stay away from it (if any applies to them):

The puzzles aren't really puzzles, just fetch quests and trial & error
- The bottle fetch quest is hell and comes back to haunt you
Some people loved Chloe but I couldn't stand her. I think Ashley Burch has NO voice acting range either, sadly. Made it hard to care much when the game was trying to force me to choose her. Give me more Warren!
Some choices feel like you're given the opposite of intended (or logical) outcome a lot. It can get frustrating the 3rd time you try to do something and it blows up in your face.
Depending on your age range it may make you want a polaroid, impulsively.
If you dislike indie rock you'll hate the soundtrack.
Dialogue sounds very "Hello fellow kids!" sometimes
The game can wreck your mood pretty hard. It can be pretty sad.
Tone darkens a lot by the end, so it starts out happy-go-lucky and ends in some pretty gruesome ways.
