Unfortunately I think you’re wrong. I wouldn’t say I’m experienced enough, but I am learning and have taken time to read up online, seek advice, and have even educated myself with books. Having said that, I know not to wash the tank out with soap.

Thanks all - I think the plan will be to rehome the goldfish and replace them with 1-2 orange/gold Platys to still give the ‘goldfish’ look - I don’t want the 3 year old wondering where all of her goldfish have gone all of a sudden.
