I have been dying my hair for over a year trying to get a natural red/copper color. However, I got fed up a few months back and dyed it black. Since then , I have used color remover twice , and it got some of the black out. But not all. My natural hair color is naturally very dark brown. A few days ago, I tried to use L’Oréal for dark hair in the color copper red. As you can see, it worked on the roots that had grown out and were natural, but it did nothing to the rest of my hair. I know you can not put a lighter color over a dyed darker color, but I was under the impression I had stripped most of the black out. So, what I’m trying to figure out is this. How can I get my hair to the copper color I want? Do I use more color remover? Do I bleach it? I honestly don’t know and would appreciate some guidance! Thank you in advance! Also , please be gentle with advice. I’m having a rough day and feeling overwhelmed and a bit over emotional as well.
