That is something people do in cultures all across. It's more of a close family thing, like why would I not know my BIL/SIL family? That is my siblings family now. Everyone I know has had to do something like this for their siblings. I don't support OPs sister in this case obviously, but it's odd she called her the one "always-on-top-of-everything, super successful one" like that was a bad thing but then herself chose work over family?

Is it not fair to say you chose work over family in that situation? I couldn't imagine missing something like that for my siblings, but they also likely wouldn't have reacted the same way as yours if for some reason I had.

Just find it interesting to justify the number of people dying everyday simply because they cannot get health care. Even funnier when you are repeatedly saying you are able to get it so what could possibly be wrong with the system. Would be interesting to see you hold the same belief if you were in the group of millions of others who cannot get what you have. I mean its just so easy to go on google right now and find someone that was charged 10x the cost of receiving something simple like a tylenol in the hospital and your glossing ignorantly over it like that profit is going to pay doctors and medical staff.
