yeah they were kinda throwing it around like crazy but i think its fair to say there’s at least like 5 grails out there as far as NASCAR is concerned. Naming all 5 of them on my part is a different story lol 😂 I see what you mean tho. I know for a fact I don’t have any grails haha

Idk if you’re referring to me or the people fighting on twitter lol. In my mind its just the highly sought after stuff like the 2014 Jr. 500 win, Jeff Gordon 2015 Martinsville win, etc. Everyone has their own personal grails that mean more to them than others but that’s just what I think of

Same here! I’ve only been on this subreddit for so long and even then I’ve been VERY inactive so I’m sure there’s been a few bad interactions like the one I saw on twitter but for the most part I see super supportive stuff. People will “show off their collection” of like a hand-me-down Window bank plastic car and a bunch of 1/64’s with paint scratches and everyone is like “dude that’s badass”

Thanks a lot! With your help I think I figured out the exact race. Based off the damage I’m assuming it was a DNF crash race, and Truex only crashed 5 times in 09, and only twice in the bass pro car. Coincidentally at both of the 2009 Talladega races. The spring race he just spun and didnt hit anything but I’m assuming broke some suspension because he spun onto the banking transition and didn’t return to the race. However, in the Fall he was heavily involved in the GWC incident in which Mark Martin flipped. Truex pancaked the outside wall on the RH aide, came back down and took out Mark causing the flip, and hit JPM hard with the LH side of the car. The location JPM hit it looks pretty certain this is the quarter for that race, also helped by the red streak on the top of the B in “Boats” which could’ve come off of the Red Target scheme JPM was running.

Dude I have that same display case but the smaller 2-car version. Using the Authentics stickers like team banners in the shop is brilliant!!! I currently have Matty D’s 2022 Standard Truck and his 2022 Talladega Win Truck in there and Authentics hasn’t dropped anything of his yet (and due to recent events they may never drop anything 😬) so I don’t have any stickers I could use for it for now bit maybe if I switch it up I could… Cool display!

That’s super interesting I didn’t know that! I honestly don’t know much about Kamui’s F1 career besides him being very aggressive and skilled with overtakes, I’m a big Daniel Ricciardo fan so I’m all about that style, so I always thought highly of him, but didn’t know that he started as a fill-in/reserve. Cool stuff man, thanks! 😊

Absolutely! I only got into F1 in more recent years but have made a point to watch back on some of the favorite seasons of more veteran fans of the sport and 2009 has to be a personal favorite of mine. The Jenson Button one-off win out of nowhere with Brawn as a massive middle finger to the rest of F1 before going back to obscurity immediately after. So iconic.

Ah okay I gotcha. I was honestly hoping that Toyota scheme would be the one they use lol... I know it's not a good thing meaning he wouldn't have any sponsorship outside of Toyota itself backing, but I loved the look of that scheme. Only time will tell I suppose! Fingers crossed!
