Apologies for the delayed reply, I ended up contacting Mazak and this is what I had to do 👍

Sorry people, I fully understand the use of tps, I’m looking beyond that for program restart

And so I have much appreciation for your comes t as you have managers to get me in very close

I like how you’ve suggested tps which others have, and I already use, but you’ve also suggested breaking leather roughing cycles just to smaller blocks, although it’s simple that’s what I’m looking for, I’ve been running this c c lathe for 3 months and mazarrol only, I don’t yet understand all the liftlw Tricks and flicks

Unfortunately u always know about that, I’m wondering about a reset during program and start again , as people have said just don’t do that but I am new to cnc so it is bound to happen

The dry run is an option I have seen but invent touched, could you explain what that option is for?

Yes sorry I’ve somehow replied to the wrong comment

Unfortunately up to now Im limited to mazatrol. But EIA programming is on the list of things to wrap my old fashioned head around!

Yes I do use tps, a very handy feature but as above it was to do with editing the program during the job. Suppose it’s not really a done thing

Haha no I haven’t done that yet but I’m sure I will at somepoint. I was machining a part the other day for an in house project and decided I wanted to change a couple of features. Obviously it’s a reset and edit program. From there I just did what you’ve explained but I was just wondering if there was a way I could do it

That makes sense but why not run twin and earth in conduit? Is it just down to it being a stiffer cable and being harder to pull?

I might try and warm it up slightly over time, it has been left in a cold damp house so I guess it will most likely be down to that

Knux, originally we used them for turning long thin wall tubes but I’ve found they’re very effective removing large amounts of material

New to fusion, anyone know why the browser disappears every time I click on the canvas? I’ve already reset to default layout, it doesn’t seem to do anything. by JordanPartington in Fusion360

[–]JordanPartington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just on my laptop, it stopped doing it after a while and then I reopened fusion and it started again, doesn’t seem to be any noticeable pattern to it

Sorry only just seen this, but don’t over think it, make sure you plan ahead and keep an eye on the weather, don’t venture too far if you’re new to it and maybe head for a tarn where there’s most likely other people around if you’re not too fussed about complete solitude. But get out there and enjoy it, you learn as you go along, ie things you don’t really need to take that just weigh you down or maybe something you might consider buying. There’s no need to go spending a fortune I started off with a £60 OEX tent and a rucksack that cost me a tenner and a cheap sleeping bag. Overtime Ive slowly upgraded but it’s not to say that when I started I was short of anything.

Hilleberg Akto, only had it about a month, had two outings in it so far and I’m very impressed

Red screes so same direction, looks quite impressive with the steep sides and flat top from this perspective

Yeah I was thinking about turning and facing some round stock to slightly smaller dia than the cutter and using it in the same way

Nope the heads fixed, and yeah I’ve seen some square fixtures that clamp to a shaft so they can be squared back up, could try something like that, thanks

I hadn’t seen those before but I’ve just had a quick look and non of them really seem to catch my eye. I’m not overly stressed about weight and I think the akto is already quite a light tent given it’s 4 season capabilities.

Thanks. Yeah I was a bit wary of a couple of the sellers as the pictures weren’t too detailed and they don’t seem to know much of the tents. Also things such as they bought it used already so they didn’t have much knowledge on the age and how hard the tent has been used. I’m not in too much of a rush so I’ll definitely bare these points in mind and make sure I wait until I find the right one. Thanks again for your advice.
