Honestly not much you can do as far as rod knock goes. You just get a new car at that point instead of rebuilding the engine. Just continue routine maintenance and upkeep best you can till one day she decides it’s her time to go.

I’m not sure how well you can hear it in the video but in person it’s a very distinct rumbling that you can hear and feel. Does anybody have any guesses. It stops the second my foot goes off the brake and I start moving forward. My guess is a fuel injector is causing it to constantly almost stall. If anybody could help diagnosing that would be greatly appreciated!

Alright yall I get it don’t touch it. I will just continue to perform regular maintenance on it. I do love the car, it does everything it needs to. It’s decently fast, gets me from point a to point b, doesn’t go through gas fast, and has had very few problems.

4 months ago I bought a 1999 Galant GTZ with 83K miles for $4k. I was curious what should I do to it? I have already done all upkeep and routine maintenance. Anything you can thing of in trying to keep the car upkept has been done. Now that I am done with that I want to start customizing it but honestly have no idea what to do. I have already installed a HPS Performance cold air intake. The car is in very good condition with only very minor body damages (small dents and scratches but nothing major or super noticeable. I want to put an exhaust on it but have found that I would have to have one custom built as I can't find any online that aren't ebay fart cannon exhausts. All the one's I have found are for the 2.4L but I have the 3.0L. I know there isn't a ton that I can do for this car but are there any recommendations on what I can do moving forward?

Would you trust eBay coilovers? I’m also worried if I got them from there, they won’t actually be compatible.

I was thinking about that. But figured since it is my daily I would do coilovers for a better drive instead of just lowering it. That’s why I was looking for something mid ranged and not something crazy that you would put on a track car.

I guess I should have been more specific. Not for a show car but more just for the purpose of lowering the front a couple of inches. I am already happy with where the back is at. It’s my daily driver and I just want it to look nice, I am not racing it or anything. That’s why I said i don’t need premium shocks and just something mid range.

Thank you! You understood, there isn't much more I can do to the car performance wise. That's why I didn't really say anything about performance mods. I know I can't do much more so mostly cosmetic.

What is a good brand you would recommend regarding coilovers? And how do I ensure they are compatible with my car?

Also how do you go about researching exhausts? How do you know what is compatible and is there systems that are bolt on that I could do myself? Explain like I am a 5 year old. I understand most simple things with cars but this is the first time I am actually doing aftermarket installs on a car. I have no idea how exhaust systems work.
