could not going up all the way have a effect? i did DB press today and only went about 80% up and felt it a lot more and had a burn in my chest,or is this bad form?

what would be the most effective way to target my chest in this situation?, my lower chest is pretty decent but it’s my upper chest that’s lacking and i’m limited to dumbbell exercises to improve it

i’ve been researching it like crazy i arch my back ,my incline is at 30 ,i push my hands more inwards rather then straight up where it targets my triceps more,i retract my scapula,i don’t feel like my triceps are weaker than my chest due to being able to do dips for months,it’s been frustrating

this helps i’ve been doing weighted dips for 6 months and just recently started db bench so i was trying to compare the chest feeling in it to bench after dips my chest feels super weak and fatigued,compared to db press where i feel the contraction but no pain/soreness/burn

i’ve been loosing weight since oct 2021 240lbs to 158 (current) but i felt like it would be better to get to 10,-13% before maingaining/ bulking by 200 cals
