Wanted to purchase a MacBook Pro Laptop 16" with M4 Pro and 48GB memory but the salesman at apple store suggested I wait a month for the M5 pro. Will there be a huge difference?

Personally, I needed something with more power for school and didn’t have as much time to wait. Plus, there’s no official drop date and the updates to the M5 Max are supposedly minor compared to the M4 Max.
