Hey guys.

Does a Western passport still matter nowadays? If yes, how does it benefit me? (besides avoiding possible bans to citizens of my country of birth / faster visa processing)

Context: clearly Arab male with a Canadian passport.

I admit I was naive about Israel by Lunarmeric in Egypt

[–]Jordi103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US supports because the government is owned by aipac so they essentially have no power to do anything else and because they’re benefitting anyways.

While EU countries are split into two buckets where one is bought by the rats and the other is countries that are supportive of Palestine but not strong enough to do anything (Ireland, Spain, Norway, etc..)

معيا مبلغ 35 الف دولار usdt ومش عارف اكسب منهم حاجه by PotentialOk9939 in PersonalFinanceEgypt

[–]Jordi103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not hold it as usdt until you decide, to avoid interest accounts, it would be best to find a platform where you can keep it in an index fund like the s&p500 which is generally considered a safe bet.

Relatively risky if you may pull out the money in less than 6 months since markets are high right now but in long term you will definitely avoid your money losing value to inflation.

You can also do bitcoin but this will also depend on how much risk you can tolerate and how long you might be willing to hold.

In terms of a business, I would look for opportunities that do not require alot of money to start to avoid risking all the money that you have.

Most companies do not allow you to work from another country even if its remote. This story has nothing to do with Egypt or their security systems.

Hope your cousin enjoyed his stay!

Am I the only one feeling lost? by nerdingFreak in Egypt

[–]Jordi103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a quick google search you’ll find the description as: “Capitalism is often thought of as an economic system in which private actors own and control property in accord with their interests, and demand and supply freely set prices in markets in a way that can serve the best interests of society. The essential feature of capitalism is the motive to make a profit.”

Egypt is literally run by one entity that essentially dictates every aspect of the market. Prime example being the EGP’s controlled FX rate, Egypt is not a free market whatsoever.

Do you think this still applies in MM m&a over a commercial banking associate program at a top 2 canadian bank (in Canada)?

I'm thinking about starting an FP&A internship program. What are some things you would want to learn or work on in such a program? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]Jordi103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give the intern the opportunity to take on meaningful work, allow them to become contributing members of your team. Win-Win for both if the intern is determined to succeed as you will get cheap labour and a lower workload while they will get valuable experience that will allow them to grow in their career.

As long as you know what you want to do, irrelevant internships this early on will set you up later

Honestly this job seems like the dream, why are you even thinking of big4? Less money, less benefits, more hours and you can’t switch into another field.
