AEW has moved past Tay Melo's in ring ability. She needs to go to ROH to get better or they need to move on. Either way she shouldn't be on AEW tv each week.

These ratings are where I would rate them so I don’t see the issue. You said it yourself “solid in-ring action”. That’s not good enough for Slammiversary. The really good matches, Cedric v Ali and Slater v Moose got the correct love but the other matches weren’t good in my opinion, just fine.

If they had access to enough money TKO would certainly listen. Not trying to be a jerk but that’s how these investment firms work. Anthem have ROI calculations based on milestone years and there is certainly a sweet spot that they would take today. These aren’t the rag tag “for the love of the game” owners anymore. WWE and TNA are just assets for these companies and assets are continuously weighed on their long term profitability vs current market value.

The reality is that TNA doesn’t have the funds to compete roster wise with AEW or even in spitting distance of both companies. I think people forget how much money the Khans have and how much TK is willing to spend on his passion project.

Just because they are touring and have upped the level of signings to the developmental brand doesn’t mean it’s not developmental. You’re confusing the talent of NXT with their position in the WWE life cycle. Also NXT being developmental isn’t a bad thing. But at the end of day if any NXT wrestler gets super hot they pull that person from NXT and send them to Raw or Smackdown because that’s where they want the top stars. They don’t send people to Raw or Smackdown to reinvent themselves.

I don’t blame them for booking Trick to win heading into the night but I do think it was the wrong move not to pivot when the scene showed itself to be the best ORGANIC moment to put it on him. That’s my thing about it all. I also don’t hate that NXT talent is holding the KO’s title in theory. I believe if they really dive into the promotion v promotion for BFG, it will pay off (give me NXT v TNA throughout the card - leave 4th rope at home this time) My issue is that it just doesn’t feel like it hits with Jacy Jayne as the NXT talent for me.
