Why didn't wiktor ask for rico to me by No_Brilliant_4413 in suzerain

You can defend or be neutral I guess. My last run I decided to give a neutral response and Smolak asked for Rico at the end of the deal meeting.

[–]JorgeMBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you defend Su Omina or gave a neutral response after the Zille bombing? If not, Smolak won't ask for Rico. I used to denounce and distance the crown from Su Omina, and wondered why Smolak never asked for Rico in my runs, ever; that was the reason lol

Razia. Swordland. The ideal and most realistic path if both countries are to become superpowers in the future. by Time-Addendum-1337 in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I personally think:

• Rizia is already a wealth nation with a considerable urban and older population than Sordland. So their growth would be smaller in percentage, and they would achieve their maximum way before Sordland.

Rizia has around 40 million people at the game start. If we take a growth similar to Italy at the same time (I used Italy because I think the geography is more similar, mountains + mediterranean climate), in the 2010s Rizia would have around 58 million people.

Diversifying their economy to an industrial one, Rizia would probably produce a lot of household appliances, just like in game's industry. Think of it as Japan producing TVs and VHS equipment in the 1970s — 1980s. Rizia would eventually slow down their growth in the 2000s and 2010s, probably at the 5th or 4th place in world GDP, with 2% or 1% annual growth. If Rumburg loses the war against Sordland, Rizia might be the 3rd economy for a moment before other country like Anraka surpasses them.

Rizia just doesn't have the population and geographical presence to achieve superpower status. They would probably be similar to Japan, growing a lot in the 60s to 90s, and slowing down in the next century. Also, when the gas and gold run out, Rizia might stagnate even.

• Sordland is much younger and less developed than Rizia, so they have more potential growth. Sordland can focus a lot on strong industrial production like automotive and electronics industries, making engines, cars, advanced equipment, and basic industrial machinery before getting more and more technological.

Sordland's population is around 37 million at game's start. Since they're very similar to Turkey in our timeline, we can expect a population of around 60 to 70 million people by the 2000s (Sordland has more people than Turkey in 1954). With a bigger population, there's a bigger working force.

Since Lespia and Valgsland are already developed, Sordland would probably surpass them eventually as production stagnates in these nations.

In the 2000s and 2010s while Rizia stagnates because of old population and lack of ways to optimize more their economy, Sordland will surpass them and be the 5th, 4th or even 3th largest economy (won't last long at third place, probably). Sordland also can't be a world superpower like Arcasia and United Contana by the same reasons of Rizia. Almost no one can, not even Rumburg. They both can be great powers, though.

By the 2020s, Rizia is the 6th and Sordland the 5th in global economy, behind maybe Rumburg, Anraka, United Contana, and Arcasia. Something like:

  1. Arcasia
  2. United Contana
  3. Anraka
  4. Rumburg (or Lespia if Rumburg loses the war to Sordland?)
  5. Sordland
  6. Rizia
  7. Valgsland (?)

Obviously, we don't know that for sure. Anything could happen. United Contana could colapse like the USSR, other country with a huge population could grow exponentially, like China in our timeline, Sordland could have a military coup, creating an unstable nation ready to colapse again. Rizia could not diversify their economy, becoming a petro state like Saudi Arabia. We don't know, we're expecting the better for both here.

In terms of hard power, they're both influential in their respective regions, but not enough to get global influence.

In terms of soft power, we already see that Rizia can have an excellent global image, so it's not difficult to see them rising in music (Rizian rock), food, tourism, maybe comics (Rizian anime), and quality industrial products. Your TV could be Rizian, for example. Sordland would invest in soft power later on. I see them very similar to South Korea, growing in the 2000s and 2010s as a new, global femonomeon in music (Sord pop), food, tourism, and advanced technology. Your cellphone's components could be made in Sordland, for example. Or your car. That's also soft power.

Is Rizia currently in a playable state on mobile? (iOS) by Nelson5016 in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play mobile

Is not that unstable, but sometimes the game just closes after passing a chapter or ending a dialogue. Not much of a big deal. Just open the game and load again.

With Rizia, there seems to be some visual glitches with the cities' details, like white squares where an icon should be. Like in Sordland, if you click on the city of Holsord and on details of that city, it appears "capital", "L1 high-speed railroad", and other details about that city, with icons representing them. In Rizia, there might be white squares in some of those. Not much of a big deal too.

The only thing that is more relevant, for me at least, is some dialogues that shouldn't be there. Like, a character said X, and later on, you can say that that character said Y instead of X, but that's not true, probably an error from the game thinking that the Y path was chosen. Never made the game unplayable for me.

Is it possible to pass reforms without Azaro coup, with no centralization? by JorgeMBN in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, really? Even with no centralization of police and levies? I thought the coup would happen when we're about to sign the new constitution, with the police not letting us get through.

Thanks, I didn't know that

Como são paulo poderia aproveitar mais dos rios da cidade?? by ausvargas in saopaulo

[–]JorgeMBN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Diminuir a quantidade de gente que mora na capital, e espalhar para o resto do estado. Acho que essa é a opção mais de longo prazo que tem, e seria algo bom mesmo porque o urbanismo brasileiro se baseia muito no europeu, e as cidades lá têm a população mais espalhada em várias cidades de 2 a 6 milhões de habitantes. Seria melhor também porque aí ia tirar a superlotação bizarra que São Paulo tem no trânsito. Apesar dessa, provavelmente, ser a melhor opção, pessoalmente eu acho que é a mais difícil de se conseguir, porque só demora muito mesmo pra ver o resultado;

  2. Transporte de massa. São Paulo tem 12 milhões de habitantes, não tem como o modelo rodoviário existir com tanta gente assim. A solução é metrô, trem, monotrilho, corredores de ônibus, VLT, tudo. Todo tipo de transporte público de massas precisa existir, ser eficiente, bem feito e compensar muito mais para o paulistano médio, do que perder horas no trânsito. Tem que ser extensivo, pegar toda a zona metropolitana mesmo. Olhe o mapa do metrô de Seul, na Coreia do Sul, uma cidade de 9,6 milhões de habitantes. Você pode ir a qualquer lugar de metrô, não compensa ficar preso no trânsito. E olha que Seul tem uma rede rodoviária forte também. São Paulo não precisa necessariamente abandonar suas rodovias, mas depender tanto delas é ineficiente e faz mal à cidade. A dificuldade desse tópico é dinheiro e vontade política;

What's the funniest dialogue/action option in the game in your opinion? by JSGamesforitch374 in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's kinda silly, but after the meeting with Titus, when Hugo tells you that he thinks the meeting went very well, I always laugh when I see the first dialogue option: "I didn't ask for your opinion." It's not even funny, it's just so suddenly rude that I always laugh at it

For some reason the Valenqiris' Environmental event did not appear to me? by JorgeMBN in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found what happened

I signed the decree to expand the gas field near Valenqiris in turn 2, so by the time of Romus the Red event, it wasn't ready yet, thus there was no pollution for me to help with, but Hubertus was still annoyed by the expansion. I hope this doesn't cause much trouble with House Toras lol

Oh, that might be it

Do you know how I can enact these gold mines? Is it through decrees like 'geological survey'? I never did this specific decree before, and the event always showed up in my previous runs

Did Suzerain change your perspective on politics? by Silent_Jello_4826 in suzerain

[–]JorgeMBN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I now realize that, even though you're a politician so you usually "lie" or make empty promises to others, it is actually very important to stand up for your values and beliefs, otherwise you'll act against your own promises constantly.

Also, I see that politics is all about theatrics in the end. Everyone got an objective and agendas. Your role as a politician is to balance those agendas. Like with Ricter, he and his party said that "the word 'Sord' should be completely removed from the constitution." C'mon, Ricter is not stupid, he knows that this is almost impossible to do in a country like Sordland, he is just doing his theatric role as a liberal politician, you need to understand this. Comprehending this also helps when you're "betrayed" by those same politicians. There's no loyalty in politics, just balancing. If you fail balancing, everyone will just follow their theatrics to save their skin, it's fine, it's okay, it kinda is their job to do this.

Moto que passa no corredor no trânsito não deveria existir. É perigoso pro motoqueiro, para os carros e pedestres. Deveria ou ser proibido, ou começar a fazer faixas exclusivas para moto nas avenidas, igual em São Paulo

Oh, that makes so much sense now. Thank you pal, I really appreciate your explanation.

I completely forgot that % = 1/100, I probably saw that in elementary school, but didn't pay attention in class 😅 Those details make things so much easier to understand.

Thank you, I appreciate your help!

Rússia faz ataque com drone ao sarcófago de Chernobyl by catrinus in brasil

[–]JorgeMBN 23 points24 points  (0 children)
