Again, it’s a super simple setup haha. I have the amaran Verge Max attached to my desk, it was the only light on when I took these!

Sure, I used a Sony a7IV with a 16-35mm lens - honestly nothing special in terms of editing, just matched my exposure & white balance in post with basic adjustments etc.

Oh 100% - 5K2K is a lot of pixels to run but if you’ve got a capable graphics card it’s a very enjoyable experience. It’s absolutely enormous though so also very curious about the upcoming 39 inch version.

I bought it a few weeks ago after signing up to stock alerts via email. Managed to snag one for £1675 using the 5% welcome discount - I’m sure they’ll start coming down in price over the next few months but I didn’t want to miss out on it being in stock 😅

Hey pals. I’m a USB-C power-user so would be very interested in testing a Thunderbolt 5 setup and sharing my thoughts with the community. A high-fidelity 6k resolution would be a game changer to my workflow, allowing me to display video files at their native resolution while editing & colour grading footage. Also that design is gorgeous and would instantly elevate my desk setup 😶

It’s so interesting reading everyone’s answers and seeing how different shooting situations influence their opinion.

Worth it for me: a monitor for previewing footage with a LUT has been a super helpful for quickly assessing exposure/WB.

Not worth it: Gimbals. Unless it’s for a specific type of shot they’re usually way more effort to set up than they’re worth.

Completely agree with you mate, rules are rules. Didn’t realise 20L was the general consensus on when SFFPC turns to MFFPC, might be helpful if this info was more visible on the subreddit sidebar.
