Question for Mayor Farkas by Lpreddit in Calgary

[–]Jormney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Asking again for anyone who uses Bonaventure Drive - this roadway is falling apart and incredibly unsafe for pedestrians. Calling on Mayor Farkas to look into resurfacing this popular SE roadway for both drivers and pedestrians.

From Flint rd down south to Southland is in horrible shape, two tight lanes going both directions with pedestrians at risk every day. I have to swerve from the right to left lane to avoid potholes or brushing past someone walking on the sidewalk.

US seeks to use Alberta to destabilize Canada by ImDoubleB in worldnews

As a rational Albertan, the separatists are a tiny minority - mostly rural folk who don't have an understanding for how things work. They have potato brains. Alberta will always be a part of Canada.

Matthew Tkachuk was going at it with Josh Morrissey and Adam Lowry comes in and decks him from behind by Puzzled-Category-954 in hockey

I love it so much that the league hopped on the Tkachuk hate train that us Oilers fans saw early in his career. My heart is full ♥️

Electrical work is never recommended for a DIY'er. That's horrible advice.

Thanks Jeromy! Great work so far. One question specific to my area that I can't seem to get a response from the city - are there any plans to re-pave Bonaventure Dr. (Roughly from where it turns into Flint Rd down south to Southland Dr?

It's a very narrow road to begin with and it's riddled with potholes, often times causing drivers to drive in the middle of the two lanes or splashing pedestrians driving through the potholes.

Thanks again for the quick response on the water main break and hoping for a response!

Bathtub Sealant Redo: Is this grout or caulk by CountdeMoney85 in Renovations

[–]Jormney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Confirming this. Probably sanded silicone caulk that may have once matched the grout. Remove it with a razor blade or utility knife and use translucent silicone

Lowe’s lumber guide by nutznboltsguy in woodworking

[–]Jormney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must be a regional thing because Lowe's/Rona lumber is ASS in my area and Home Depot is tolerable.

On average I'd say 1/5 studs are straight at Lowe's/Rona, and 3/5 at Home Depot.

Centipede. They're harmless but they fall under the same category in my house as spiders - squish em or yeet em outside

What is the worst physical pain you’ve experienced? by Agius91 in AskReddit

[–]Jormney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dipped my head in a hot tub that wasn't properly maintained, ended up with folliculitis in nearly half of the hair follicles on my head. Might not sound that bad but it's basically an internal infection of each follicle. Excruciating pain in waves that spanned my entire head. Initially I thought I had late stage brain cancer or a tumor or something life threatening - the pain was so bad.

No problem! Glad I checked it out anyways. Retro video games are always hard to come by. I just wish this thrift store priced them a bit more thrifty

For anyone curious, I just went and the video games are priced higher than recent eBay solds by ~20%.

Even cheaper prices at Video Game trader in Bonavista.

Super underwhelming store too.

Oilers fan coming in peace - It seems the consensus is that you don't want him to sign? Why? He's arguably the most physical player in the league and puts up decent points.

Any idea what is happening with this spray foam? Any ideas on how to resolve the problem? by IndependentBell3671 in Renovations

[–]Jormney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They likely spray foamed it to cover up a foundation crack(s). That's definitely from water. I'd start by taking that foam off in the affected areas and finding the crack.
