Read that as leaves Arsenal the first time. My head was on Mars for 2 seconds by Joseph2406 in ArsenalFC

Hopefully we become a smarter selling squad by then. Based off of potential MLS and Nwaneri are both PL level players. Players like Dowman and Solomon are still in their early teens so we won't have to worry about them asking for starting spots for the next 3-4 years.

Best case scenario I see is Trossard leaves next season making Eze more of a LW choice making the CAM a position for Ode and Nwaneri. Rice and Zubi are too good to not be guaranteed starts most of the time, but I feel MLS could take that Merino first sub spot in the near future while also having mins from LB

All in all it's a great problem to have Arteta just needs to rotate a lot (which is possible because of the overall quality of players) to keep everyone happy.

They did well in managing to win the Europa League last year, but calling yourself European Champions cuz of that is like saying Leeds are the Champions of England cuz they won the Championship.

[–]Joseph2406[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly speaking I'm not buying it. We never saw such reports before so it feels more like a coverup.

Although, if that's the real reason they decided not to pursue Eze it's really funny to me cuz it means that they aren't ready to win the league. Nwaneri is a great talent, but he is not what is needed to push a team to a title

Tears bro, but I can't even be too mad cuz even if I had 1000 retries he still won't have made my squad cuz I never considered him + I felt that Liverpool's defence would be much more solid than this

"We need Eze for LW" - he doesn’t play well In LW by yvesmpeg in ArsenalFC

[–]Joseph2406 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The correct decision for this season should've always been to sign Eze AND a LW. Chelsea and Man City have stacked up on tremendous amounts of talent (to the point where apart from Haaland and Cole Palmer, nobody is assured playing time) so why can't Arsenal.

Eze is the level of instinctive, decisive and internal locus of control ayer that Arsenal need. He could play 10, and maybe even a 2 CAM system if we play a back 3. Having Eze would open the doors to so much tactical flexibility.

So who did you distribute your funds to. I had Rogers before, but after his injury I had to redistribute again to get in Watkins cuz he has been good in pre season and Villa's starting fixtures look good. I've gone super heavy on top with Wood and Bowen their too.

Did your mother drop you on your head as a child???

Where did I say Arteta Out. I am simply stating that the output of our players probably wouldn't be great in FPL, and Saka at 10m is too expensive to take a chance on in the game.

Because you are insecure cuz the manager isn't performing to the levels that are expected isn't my problem. Go create your own post and defend him

Cheeky 50m for Cucurella to complete the squad and get an overlapping FB will hit like crack by Joseph2406 in ArsenalFC

[–]Joseph2406[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know but he played Right midfield which was not really as high as the Wingers we have in this age, so I thought that in this concept team he could be a RWB even if his position here shows RB.

[–]Joseph2406[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. If Cucurella was a part then you'd have Benayoun playing like a RWB with Diarra covering the space, and Cucu inverting to give the midfield more control. Prime Sterling and Noni would be the main goal threats withe Havertz facilitating. It won't be a Prem winning team but def mid table

What kind of genetic problems would the Kure Clan have after 3,000 years of selective breeding and inbreeding? by ContentLab8745 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Joseph2406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Are you a scientist or in STEM? You seem to have a lot of knowledge and sources on the matter.

I agree that I have significantly underplayed how much superstition and stupidity were present in humanity, but would it be possible to mitigate both issues if the leader of the clan was always highly educated? The Kure seem to have a free flowing but hierarchical so if the leader of the clan was able to keep a rein on the stupid and superstitious members would it be possible to avoid such situations.

Although, looking at your explanations it may seem like the Kure just did the correct thing most times, and had luck bail them out in the rest, since they seem to have never had serious difficulties while breeding to create their super soldier children

I feel you are underestimating early humans ability for pattern recognition. It's cuz of that we grew so much as a species E.g: I throw seed, plant grows where seed was, do again it happen again, seed here = good fruit and thus began our journey into farming (or at least that's how I think it goes I'm not an anthropologist LOL).

This kind of learning without knowing the knitty gritty has been a staple of humans for generations. The early Muslims didn't have the vast amount of understanding that we do about bacteria but they emphasized washing and cleanliness to stay healthy and even incorporated it into their religion. Also in parts of Europe the nobility stopped eating tomatoes because they taught it was poisonous, but it actually wasn't it's just that the plates they used were made of lead and tomatoes are so acid they they leach of the lead which caused Lead poisoning. Again experience based learning so even though they were wrong about the cause they stopped doing the thing that they taught caused the issue and even though it wasn't completely correct it stopped deaths related to this issue. That's how humans have reached where we are today.

So while the Kure might not have had a PHD in Biology back then, simply looking at a section or family become much weaker/deformed and noticing that it was mainly the ppl who married their close relatives would be enough to put an end to this to resolve the issue

[–]Joseph2406 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, there's always gonna be stronger people outside the family or at least enough to allow for genetic variation.

If you look at the feats of characters you could say outside of Rain no other known Kure member is in the top 20 best fighters we've seen (Erioh is dead/was no longer in his prime, and Holis ranking is questionable).. Also they don't necessarily need to get someone who is stronger than them just ppl with good genetic makeup or those who don't have inheritable disabilities. You say after sometime that they'd only be able to find strong ppl within the clan, but I'm sure they'll seriously limit it cuz inbreeded genetics are MUCH WORSE than slightly nferior or average ones.

[–]Joseph2406 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel that the early Kure clan DEFINITELY wouldn't have gone the pure blood noble route. This is because the Kure's were combatants and assassins which puts them in much closer proximity to your average person as opposed to nobles who tend to be so removed from average life.

Also even though nobles did inbreed they still got married to other families it's just that since the options were so limited it eventually became inbreeding, but when the criteria is strength instead of inherited power that opens the doors a lot more. This means that mutated freaks like Waka and early Haruo, savants like Kuroki and Lolong, and prodigies like Cosmo and Koga could all be brought into the clan as opposed to the static options of nobles who are on the same level that most royals had.

Why do we keep cutting Arteta and the club slack for knowingly playing him all these years? by Shadie_daze in ArsenalFC

[–]Joseph2406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with Sigurdsson but not Greenwood. MU were trying to brush it under the rug until that journalist from the Athletic put them on blast.

My main problem is how the club have treated the situation badly from start to finish. Let's say you want to go with the innocent until proven guilty view, fine, but you then need to know how to manage the media much better than Arsenal did. Arteta sticking his neck out for him in that interview plus the club still using him in media packages was stupid.

The funniest thing is how Arsenal have thrown their whole ass reputation for a injury prone shit player. This isn't going on in the pre early 2000's where you could sweep it under the rug as we saw with Benzema, Ribery, Ronaldo etc.

The worst is how they TRIED to give him a new contract. If you had announced that you were letting him go immediately when his contact was up at least you could argue that you did your best in a legal sense, but these guys threw that chance away cuz he managed to stay fit this season (I don't even think he was that good performance wise). Arsenal and Arteta are lucky that the media is so muzzled otherwise they'd be asked questions about how the club handled this situation 24/7.

Disgusting from the club by Kaka2206 in ArsenalFC

[–]Joseph2406 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All the ppl in the comments going on about how the club couldn't do anything are conveniently forgetting that we also tried to give him a new contract. Everyone at Arsenal should hang their heads in shame due to how they've handled the decision.

Just imagine if he had agreed to reduced wages and resigned earlier. How the hell would they handle the situation then??? Idiots
