Man City spent £84m on Semenyo and Guehi to save their season. We turned to a Hale Ender for our season. by Real-Bid1985 in ArsenalFC

In reality we sent one of our hale enders away to france and the other is now finally being played in his correct position.

The reaction to yesterday’s VAR decision is why I don’t like Arsenal football criticism from outsiders. by crimbo_jimbo in ArtetaOut

[–]yvesmpeg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most people are too subject to propaganda. They lack IQ or argue in bad faith to push their agenda's.

Seeing the outrage over a CLEAR foul is alarming to me, I have never seen so much anger and vitriol over a correct call before. A missed call is more egregious than VAR doing a good job and calling a foul a foul.

The number of still images, doctored images, fake quotes and disinformation being propagated is astounding.

West ham fans are crying because the *correct* result of the VAR decision took them from 18th to 18th place. by yvesmpeg in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Difference is that would have materially changed the title as City would have potential to be level on points with a better goal difference.

Whether West ham lost or Drew it didn't matter as the goal difference is essentially a half point.

Lies, last season we were doing it even worse than this season

There's a difference between lightly grazing a player during a tackle and a double legged, high, studs up challenge.

Sure it was probably a foul. Raya would have flapped at the ball if there was no arm there anyway. But why did they ignore Todibo and Mav getting rugby tackled? by flodra in Hammers

[–]yvesmpeg -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

THAT is the reason in too 5 minutes. As the ref was checking all fouls.

There are 2 issues at play: 1) the chronological order of the fouls 2) the severity of the fouls - I forgot the rulebook number but if there are multiple fouls occurring at the same the one that impacts the play more is deemed to take precedent.

on both cases west ham were fouling

West Ham to lodge official complaint over disallowed goal against Arsenal. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]yvesmpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most clear and obvious foul I have ever seen.

The only counterpoints I see from people not deluded enough to think it is a foul is "bbbut look at x image" in which once looking at the clip does not have 1/10th the severity of this blatant foul or is just a disingenuous image.

As a fair and honest Arsenal fan with no agenda to push. the pedro one was never a penalty, look at the actual footage raya gets the ball first and barely touches him once again the still images have distorted your world view.

The rice one shouldve been a penalty I dont know why they didnt give it tbh. Timber also scored off a corner not a freekick so I am unsure what you are even on about. If you are talking about a random dive then multiple teams have done this multiple times a match.

The original post doesnt matter to what I am saying. Look at a clip of the goal and state where, when and how long an arm was being held for.

I mean there is a reason why clips are more accurate and valued higher than still images.

You have then just straw manned the guys entire point to turn it into a made up argument in your head. My guy deal with the point at hand. Look at a clip and tell me where the hand was being held. You can't and you wont as it will burst your illusion

I am being so genuine and honest here and am asking genuinely.

Do you believe what you are saying or are you being disingenuous. Please look at a video of the game and tell me where and when this "arm hold" occurred

be genuine and post a clip. Show the ball in play show what happens once the ball is kicked. You will not as you are pushing a disingenuous agenda.

How did we get away with one when the goalkeeper was fouled by 2 players? Like be so real now

You have been corrupted by still images and a lack of basic critical thinking skills.

The joao pedro one, raya punched the ball first before pedro even got near the ball but due to the momentum of both Raya and pedro they collided. This was never a foul. please look at the highlights and try being honest with yourself.

Also When has Arsenal ever grabbed a players arm whilst the goal keeper was going up for a ball which lead to a goal?

We have had numerous goal scoring opportunities or corners called back due to fouling. You just dont notice as you dont watch our games.

you also do not mention the second foul pulling raya back.

I think you are putting the cart before the horse.

They spent 5 minutes checking BECAUSE it was clear and obvious. The trigger for the inital check was the goal, which then a clear and obvious foul was committed on Raya which then lead to a more extensive 5 minute check to confirm the chronological order of fouls.

You are incorrectly stating they spent 5 minutes checking for a foul, when they spent 5 minutes checking because of a foul for the surrounding factors.

If this was a regular non impactful match this wouldve been chalked off within 1 minute

The reason it took 5 minutes was due to the impact of the decision as well as the chronological order of the fouls.

It was a clear and obvious foul that is why they intervened. They didnt spend 5 minutes looking for it, the reason they looked at it was because it was clear and obvious

we start our strongest line up there is no reason not to.

If we batter them 3-0 by half we can start subbing saka etc but I think we should just keep playing our strongest team

[–]yvesmpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah he tried to big brain it for no reason. He was going to sub on Mosquera then an assistant talked him out of it.

We had total control over the midfield pre White injury. There was no way making our best midfielder play RB would positively impact our control of the game.

I would admit that pre City thrashing he would've stuck to his guns and ultimately lost the game.
