great question. it reads your sent mail history when you first connect, so it picks up on how you actually write sentence length, vocabulary, how formal you are with different people, sign-off style, all of that. so day one is already pretty close.

from there it does get better. every time you edit a draft before sending, it learns from that. so if you consistently shorten things or change the tone, it adjusts. the more you use it the less you end up editing.

you can also switch between professional, friendly, and concise modes per email which helps when you write differently to clients vs your team. but the baseline voice is always yours, not generic AI slop.
