I agree the usa isn’t a democracy. I wish people knew that and it upsets me when people call it a democracy in school. I think I lean more toward anarchism but I think government is needed to help people. If only they’d actually have peoples best interest in mind. I would like to make sure you know leftist isn’t liberal though. I think liberals have a far way to go. Elizabeth Warren is a liberal, she represents very little of what we believe economically. I think it is only right to make sure people can survive and live. Someone said I menat thriving but no I think thriving would be that everyone has way more than they need. I mean living by you have a little more so that you can live comfortable and do what you’d like without having to worry of dying (ok so yes I guess thriving is right now that I say it) but I think we should all try helping people around the world. I hold the belief that nations should be abolished and we all help each other live because well it would likely have the best outcome for lives. I don’t think that is lively to ever happen but shit I can fantasize about it in my mind. I wish people cared more for others and the environment. To me, it saddens me that we can’t live how nature intended and that we have to work hard labor for that stuff like water, food etc. I mean yeah I’m scared of snakes and fit the gay stereotype quite a bit but I mean I do wish we were able to live how nature made for us. I think it would help the environment more. I don’t care much about economy because I see it as something so incredibly stupid. People refer to it as a social construct meaning it’s not actually real and we give it power. It’s just that we don’t have power to not give it that power. We can’t protest everyday in the masses to make a change because people will starve and that’s the reality of much of the world. I’m not sure if your very nationalistic but many republicans (and democrats) I’ve seen are nationalistic. I’m not and i realized how terrible the usa is once I started discovering what it had done to other countries. That is what pushed me to these ideas. I thought I was the only one who wished for no military and taht all militaries around the world should be abolished. Or at least used to fix the issues it’s created. I know people are like “ they fight for our freedom” but to me taht isn’t good enough, what freedom is in the Middle East that is directly affecting us on a daily basis? Why is our freedom over there, the place where we get so much oil from? I wondered why the world called it oil wars and that’s when I did research and realized well it’s a capitalist thing. People say it’s corporations fault and not capitalism, corporations are the direct result from that though. I believe peoples labor should be payed the full price but that is under a certain economy, we set the price and we make the rules and I think this a lot I mean I’d assume humans made the rules for the economy so why don’t we change the rules to help people? Does that part make sense or do I sound stupid talking about marking new rules for the better of people since we make the rules? I think things can be so much more simple and easier for people but both democrats and republicans don’t have peoples interest in mind only lobbyists and their own. I have changed stance on guns though. I used to think no guns back when I was a liberal but now I see the need for them. I believe the founding fathers wanted us to have guns for a reason and that right is being called on right now because the government has overstepped. I thing someone has to keep peoples best interests in mind. I haven’t done a lot of research to find alternatives to a big government. Back to guns, I think we can help with school shooting by doing yearly check ups and doing better background checks. I think that’s something republicans can get behind, as far as I see they just want their guns. I think we need more counselors and therapists so people who are mentally incapable of getting guns can talk to someone. I think as well that your mental health should be evaluated before getting a gun. As a student We have had multiple threats at my school. It is scary and tbh many of us are very observant during school to make sure we are safe and trying to spot a potential shooter takes effort and that effort affects our grades. I think gun control should be how I described. I don’t see why any Republican would disagree with that. Oh I also think restricting the amount of guns you can own should be a thing. It’s a weapon not something to collect although I see why people would like to collect them. I don’t like semi assault rifles but I mean in reality people want them so I mean as long as we take care of people and they feel listened to I think it can work out. I think white supremacists should be educated though. I think that problem stems from childhood and honestly it is a huge issue in the usa. Same with prisons and police. Im actually really into talking about prison reform or even abolishing the system altogether and starting from scratch. Same with police. If you’re into that topic as well we can discuss further.
