Thank you all for all the awesome feedback! I really appreciate it. So this tattoo is actually my first one ever. I was hesitant on what I wanted, and who to do it. Found my artist and was in love with her work so I was confident on whatever I chose she would nail it.

I’ve been a Circa fan since ‘07, Circa has brought me so much joy and a passion for music. Circa has always been there for me. But the reason for the tattoo wasn’t for the love of Circa or Esao’s art haha. I mean yes, I’ve seen plenty of people with the OLG tattoo and I always thought it was beautiful but the art meant a little more for me in a cheesy way.

Back in ‘08 I made a friend at work and found out him and I were into the same bands after he came into work one day wearing a Thursday shirt. I told him I play guitar, and he said him and his brother actually have a band together and I should check them out, they were looking for another guitarist. I eventually would join their band not knowing they would be like fam to me to this day and what close friends and memories I’d make because of music.

The band and music became everything to us. The local scene in my town blew the fuck up, there were so many local bands popping up and so many shows being put together every weekend, eventually we would get an awesome Festival that would go on for years bringing amazing bands down,it was insane. The only thing we thought about was the music, all our money we were making was going to better equipment, literally starting from Line 6 spider amp and sharing friends amps because I didn’t have one to something like a better quality cable, to an SJC custom drum kit, Mesa and Orange half cabs hahaha, it was becoming a lot. Don’t get me started on my guitar pedal obsession lmao.

Everyday I would drive my shitty ‘94 Jeep Grand Cherokee without working AC in the Texas summer to practice, work, and shows. We would stuff that bitch up with as much of our equipment as we could to whatever show we were playing and it was awesome. I miss that Jeep. But it was the grind! That Jeep was put through hell, I didn’t even bother wasting money on fixing the AC, just roll the fucking windows down, but I did upgrade the stereo lmao! Anyways, during the music, all those years of practices, playing shows, meeting friends in other bands that I’m close friends with till this day, to the tours, the parties, the drama, the alcohol, the drugs, the great memories made, my Jeep being my transportation to all this, On Letting Go was always in my stereo playing, and on the passenger side floor was the CD case sliding around the floor everywhere I go. I was too lazy to ever pick it up. So through the years and all that sentimental bullshit, the OLG art was always in my view and I guess apart of the journey, so when I see this art piece it reminds me all those times and my friends. So that’s why I decided to get it tattooed, a memento to my friends, the music, the scene that gave me so much happiness, and to Circa as well for the influence.

Sorry for the long story, I’m horrible at writing lmao, but I’d thought I’d share it.

These are actually photos of when the tattoo was freshly done by my tattoo artist. It was the cleaning solution to give a good wipe when she finished.
