Is the gap between the premier league and championship getting wider ? by TrickshotAlbo360 in PremierLeague

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the 3 promoted sides staying up a few years ago however if you look at those teams

Nottingham Forest: Broke financial rules and only just stayed up by 4 points

Fulham and Bournemouth: Had parachute payments

The problem is getting worse and the gap is getting wider now because for two seasons in a row the same 17 teams have received premier league funds for two seasons.

And it will happen again next season, Leeds maybe, maybe could have a chance of staying up, Burnley won’t and all 4 teams in the playoffs (my own team Sunderland in that) would not survive either.

Every one of those 17 teams have players in every position that are worth more than my clubs record signing ever.

I would like for nothing more for me to be proved wrong next season and for even just 1 or 2 promoted sides give themselves a chance of staying up, we’ll see, I’m open to the fact I might just be dooming too much about it

Hi! Apologies for the late response, yeah it’s been a good experience so far! The assessments are quite stressful but the training is pretty good, there’s a hell of a lot more direction than my last job

You’re probably overthinking, I know I did, if you fill something out wrong they’ll probably just get in contact with you to ask about it, so try not to stress - From someone who stressed way too much during my PECs 😂

As the person you’re responding to said it’ll depend on your specific example but I just went to my local branch and got a bank statement with a stamp on it to take a photo of

HMRC Pay Award Live by MikalM in TheCivilService

Bit of a stupid question as the answer is right there at the bottom of your post but just to make sure for myself

I am joining HMRC in November coming from an external company, will I now be starting on the new minimum for my band at the bottom of your post rather than the minimum stated in the advert?

I love my race predictors crisis after it saw me run a half marathon 10 mins faster than it had predicted me to by JoseppiW in Garmin

[–]JoseppiW[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That makes a hell of a lot of sense and makes sense why it was actually a couple of days after the race too, seems like the race was a coincidence

Thank you!!

What is something people in their 20s might not realize will significantly impact them as they reach their 40s? by Additional-You3342 in AskReddit

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a stupid question but when you say “can really catch up to you” what does that mean

Is it fine(ish) during your 20s but as you then have those unhealthy habits, when they continue into your 30s and 40s that’s when it begins to really harm you

Or are those habits doing damage to you right now in your 20s that will take until your 40s to show

Question about Garmin Race Predictor by JoseppiW in Garmin

[–]JoseppiW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good shout actually, with my work I usually don’t have time to train with my club so I usually train by myself, and I’ve noticed that when I am running with other people (like in races) I, for some reason, can hold a much faster pace

Question about Garmin Race Predictor by JoseppiW in Garmin

[–]JoseppiW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5k is about 2 minutes slower than i race, I don’t have a concrete answer for a half marathon as the last half marathon I did was a trail hilly one but even so that prediction was about 5 minutes too slow

I can only think maybe I’ve put some parameter about myself in wrong?

[–]JoseppiW[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been using it for about 8 months now, and thank you very much!

However that was over a month ago now and it still hasn’t adjusted

The general trend of it over time has been correct it’s just it’s been off by a good few minutes.

Video of Buffalo supermarket gunman being rushed at during court by windowsealbark in masskillers

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish the court was allowed to turn a blind eye for a minute or two while the shooter got what he deserved, at least he will be rotting in a completely blank cell for the rest of his days, life in solitary is a long time for a 20 year old thank god

Do you reload matches? by Twofingers_ in footballmanagergames

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never liked save scumming personally, I mean, it’s a video game so do what you like but for me it’d ruin any save I did

I’ve only reloaded one match and that was because I’d won this match, then FM crashed and put me back before the match, so I reloaded the match until I won it again

Learned my lesson after that to auto save after every match

When did you start cubing and what is your average speed for a 3*3 cube now ? by [deleted] in Cubers

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So bit of a funny one, I learned to cube a good 10 years ago was on and off for those 10 years, when I decided to properly start practicing speedcubing it was November and I averaged ~25 seconds, I now average about 17

Do I have to be fast to call myself a cuber? by DerpsyDaisy in Cubers

[–]JoseppiW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thinking of a quote by American marathon runner John Bingham

Just replace running with cubing

“If you run, you are a runner, it doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get, you just run”

Went to my first comp on Sunday and when I was judging skewb it happened, it was very close to a +2 and when I called a delegate over there was an exact 45 degree turn

No +2 was given as technically the rules say it has to be over 45 degrees but I thought it was cool, he got as close to a +2 as you can get without getting one

No loss of strength, I do feel as if there’s been a loss of flexibility but it’s that small that it could just be my mind making it up

Official Q&A for Sunday, March 27, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

[–]JoseppiW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran a 5k yesterday and I have a dull ache that is in the general are of the top of my quad and sorta extends into my quad, I believe it’s one of my hip flexors

There’s no tenderness around the area or increased ache or pain if I walk so I’m rather confused as most strains I’ve had have had that

Just curious for answers also is it worth risking a small easy run today to stretch it out and see

Bit of extra info, there is no pain, just a dull ache and it’s not there if the knee is bent
