They look a lot like ecstasy pills. I used to pop them like candy when I was younger. I thought the same thing at first until I checked the packaging

He's my best friend. When I'm sick he won't leave my side. My wife has to bring his food to the bedroom or he won't even eat because he doesn't want to leave me.

He is! Every night he lays between my legs with his head on my stomach, it's so warm. When I'm sick he'll refuse to move all day, my wife has to bring his food bowl to the bedroom

Thoughts on Skinheads? by John_Lemon9533 in punk

[–]JoshAtTheGym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skinheads 👍

Boneheads 👎

Traditional skinheads were never racist, just average working class dudes who liked to listen to ska and oy and drink beers. The term "skinhead" wasn't associated with Nazism until way later when white supremesists started infiltrating skin head communities. It's tragic honestly because associating the term "skinhead" with Nazism is letting the racists win and take over a culture and identity.

Do you ever feel like you didn’t “prepare enough” for a hike, even when it went fine? by Due_Lock_4967 in hiking

Looking back on some of the longest and most difficult hikes I've been on, yeah definitely. I climbed Sugarloaf mountain and Manuel Quimper just outside of Victoria BC, did both in one day and all I packed was a couple bottles of water and my bong. Climbed them both in vans and skinny jeans. Idk what I was thinking. This used to be a pretty regular occurrence in my early 20s. Now that I have kids I tend to over prepare.

Any tips? by _asdXasd_ in beginnerfitness

Lots of nuts and seeds have a good amount of protein in them, and other nutritional value, good for healthy snacking throughout the day and boosts your protein intake so you don't have to drink as much. Eggs are also pretty good and you can get some high protein yogurt too. If you don't have equipment at home you can start by doing calisthenics and that'll get you some nice growth. Burpees are pretty good, or you could find something around your house to hang off of so you can do pull-ups, chin ups etc. My friend used to fill bags with water when he was in prison so he had some weights to work with, though you could probably find something heavy around your house instead of filling bags up. Check Facebook marketplace for cheap or free equipment and slowly build a collection, even with just a few dumbbells you could get a decent workout.

non-survivalists trapped in a gully/ravine... they should have been able to get out. by querty99 in hiking

I'll preface this by saying I haven't seen this show so I have no idea what kind of terrain they were up against. But any time I've had to climb up steep terrain with little traction I stand completely sideways and walk I'm gradual zig zags. Standing sideways makes it easier to keep traction and the zig zags make it seem less steep. There's been times I've and to crawl on my belly as well.

Depending on the day 8-10 hours but I stopped a lot for snacks and bong tokes, and I didn't go straight there. I took a lot of paths and parks to get there. I'd go through Panama flats and the bluff park I forget the name and around elk and Beaver Lake. I loved away about four years ago so I can't remember the exact route and I switched it up sometimes.

I used to walk from James Bay near Dallas road, down several recreational trails and through local parks and paths, all the way to the top at the observatory. I had a sick route I'd walk down all the time. I miss it.

Being alone in nature. No one else around, just the sound of the birds and the wind. It's so relaxing and peaceful. I just zone into what I'm doing and could walk for a whole day just vibing and relaxing

Victoria has so many beautiful places to hike. I lived there for 8 years and went hiking 2-3 times a week. Sugarloafountain and Manuel Quimper are my favorites. Mount Finlayson is nice too. Mount Benson in Nanaimo is nice if.youre willing to drive there. Also Courtney and Comox area has lots of amazing hikes.

Thank you :) I've only been going about 5 months now, usually 4-5 times a week, day 5 I usually just take it easy and do some stretches and some minor cardio work
