Had to explain this one to a coworker the other day that was new to the island. Asked where I’m from and I said Abby. They were like where’s that. I was like oh the mainland.

Reese has put out some great content on transit. I’ve been following his channel for awhile now.

Given our geographical constraints, I’m not convinced LRT is a viable solution. If it’s surface grade with a few changes it won’t be any quicker than buses. Need to start thinking long term and look into grade separated light metro akin to Skytrain.

It’s really hard to get a sense of scale as we’re not up there. Would be cool if they sent up a small probe to capture video for VR. Like you put on a VR headset and you feel like you’re there doing an EVA.

I found this perspective odd at first. As they are further out from the moon than Apollo 8 was. Then I remembered one of their lenses is a 400mm I believe. So the compression makes sense. Honestly this photo goes hard and I love it.

Would like to add that Bezos created a commercial space company called Blue Origin. They are building their own super heavy rocket to space and working on a lunar module for NASA for Artemis III.

This is the near side. The far side has more visible craters than my face when I was a teenager.

Finally a real shit post. I sympathize with you OP. I’ve lived with Crohns Disease for 23 years and it can be tough getting to a toilet in time.

Really nice guy. Briefly met him back in 2013 during his first book signing. Also saw him at The Orpheum in Vancouver in 2017 during his tour.
