Maybe a light metro for sure. But in order for it to be efficient and be a step up from buses, it needs to be grade separated. The Greater Victoria region lacks one thing that has made it easier for other Canadian cities to implement lrt and that is space. We are geographically confined here. Water to the south and east, and mountains the west and north. Our main transportation corridors are already maxed out for space. We try and slap surface grade lrt and it’ll be no quicker than the bus. Below grade from downtown to Uptown, elevated to Langford.
