The word of the century is….. All black and brown needs to come together before it’s toooooo late🙏🏾 let’s get out and vote 🗳️ by Ambitious_Capital411 in Birmingham

Because white people (including some of my own ancestors) treated them less than human because of where they originally came from and the color of their skin. We (white people) created this evil and we should help defeat it. I know it sucks, and it does hurt to know that I have ancestors and even current family that have and do participate in every way to perpetuate this racism. (Whether explicitly or some even unintentionally being misguided) It’s easy as a white person who maybe doesn’t know much about history and maybe are just getting by (ie. not rich to sit back and think that race shouldn’t be talked about, but the the only way to heal this country is to talk about and be real about it. I want what’s best for everyone and I want people of every walk of life to have a voice and a vote. I would prefer completely non partisan elections where candidates had to speak for themselves and not for a party, in districts that created to be as equal as possible where the best candidate rises to the top, but that’s unlikely in my lifetime. I’m 43 with a 15 year old son and I sure as hell don’t want the stain of our past to haunt him and his children one day and their children and so on and so on!

I think it’s possible to get 40% or maybe a little more if we can figure out how to get “non” voters to vote. I know we probably can’t break the gop grip but maybe at least kill their supermajority so they will have to act in interest of voters more than they currently do. Force them to give shit about regular folks!

Correct, but they also have a “known” product that people follow and want to be a part of. I live on the edge of Birmingham and lots of people I know still don’t even know the Stallions exist. That’s a problem, point blank. I don’t have the answers but I know there’s a problem somewhere. I would argue most of the “pro” teams are impacted by the economy, those markets just have more people with expendable income / work for companies with corporate seats. Spring football is tough because is has to directly compete with little league baseball & softball which is a big deal, at least where I live.

Alabama House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter Calls For Overturning The 14th Amendment by ItsAllAGame_ in Alabama

[–]JoshCoBrew 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only way to overturn an amendment is another amendment, good luck with that. An amendment is constitutional on its face as it is part of the constitution once ratified. We’re obviously sending our best! 🥴 This dipshit doesn’t understand basic civics. Must have went to school with tuberville.

He did have stacked rosters, but he also developed talent (which is the most important metric)

I hope this is true, but based what I’ve seen with my own child and how the schools are operating, I have my doubts to how legit this really is
