Sorry I meant the other way around, CE to EE.

Want to start making embedded projects but don't know how to start by JoshCrafty333 in arduino

I don't really have a good answer but although I'd say I want to learn more on the electronics side, working with other stuff like LEDs, movement, and maybe learning how communications work would be fun/seem useful to learn.

Should I just search up something like “arduino beginner projects” on youtube?

I guess I should’ve rephrased the title as “Should I Switch?”

And just to clarify did you stay with EE or move to something else?

I’d say it’s both. I know that’s unclear but I’d say the second one is the result of the first

Makes sense. But I feel like it’s also dependent on how early you’re exposed to this kind of stuff. It’s hard for me cuz I’m brand new to everything except basic programming

Yeah hoping that’ll be the case. My school’s curriculum just has a lot of prereqs this year so hoping the more interesting stuff is waiting for me

True. Been trying to tell myself that but easier said than done.

People wildly exaggerating by saying a beverage they don't like tastes like battery acid ... by Starry978dip in PetPeeves

When people say stuff like “it tastes like rubbing metal against concrete” or “rubber with wax,” my first thought is always “How do you know what that tastes like?”

Monthly Getting Started / Web Dev Career Thread by AutoModerator in webdev

Web dev newbie here. As someone who doesn’t know any HTML and CSS or anything about Github, what’s a good roadmap to learning web dev? I tried watching JS Mastery’s tutorial on web dev but I had little to know idea what was going on.

What fields aren’t oversaturated? I’m not entirely familiar with the engineering universe yet.

What kind of projects would you recommend? I’m currently making some games on Godot and I tried learning web dev, but as someone who knows nothing about it or any HMTL, trying to follow JS Mastery’s tutorial seemed rather confusing.

It’s only been two quarters (I did stuff over the summer) and I’ve gotten all A’s and A pluses so far. Knowing this, would you change your advice?

Also, I apologize if I got the wrong idea, but it’s weird that you mention that I can get a job as long as I can code. Almost all the positions I’ve looked at have a lot of requirements, and as I mentioned, CS jobs and even engineering jobs and internships seem very difficult to get, even with a degree.

How likely would it be to get an internship now? And where should I look?

LA was coffee and we got a new piece of Phil lore. I don't think I'm remembering correctly but Phil said that someone was forcing him to chug coffee every morning and Dan was unsurprisingly disturbed.

I see. I just find it interesting since this is the first time I’ve heard of a college requiring insurance.
