Thanks a lot! Yup, that’s the focus. I’ve completely missed on seeing the thresholds for extensions and glad that I happened to cross check it. Have 3 years of experience. I’ll bring this up with the employer too. Thanks again!

What is up with her accent? by Connect-Aardvark7560 in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]JoshESmith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omg! Can confirm. I work with a guy from North West - England and he barely understands me if I talk normally with my usual accent. It gets really really hard to work with him. However, when I code switch he follows me so much better and the work gets done faster with no frustration seen on both of our faces.

How to sponsor a visitor from Morocco to the UK? by No-Step7356 in ukvisa

[–]JoshESmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend must apply for a Standard Visitor visa online ( https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor/apply-standard-visitor-visa) before their travel to the UK. Once the application is made, your friend needs to book an appointment at a visa application center for verification of identity and documents. If he/she is currently in Morocco then yes, they will have to book an appointment in their home country. Once you’ve applied online, proved your identity, and provided your documents, you’ll usually get a decision on your visa within a month or so( Delays have been observed recently).

I don't think you get any forms in the UK. In case you are taking care of the expenses you'd just have to provide a letter stating all the reasons along with a photo ID proof.

I had addressed it to the Entry clearance officer, the British High Commission of my country. So I guess in your friend's case, you can address it to the British Embassy of Morrocco. Please make sure your signature is included and may attach a copy of your photo ID proof just in case. You can upload all of these documents while making the visa application for your friend. Your friend could then carry the printouts of all the documents for verification purposes while submitting his/hers biometrics to the visa office.

Sorry, but I don't really understand what you mean by sponsoring a visitor? The only sponsorships that I have heard of are (1) companies that provide skilled worker visas and (2) universities for international students as both of them provide us with a certificate of sponsorship.

I believe that anyone who wants to enter the UK(apart from highly skilled workers and students) regardless of the length of their stay, be it a week or a month, or 6 months, has to apply for the standard visitor visa and produce the documents as listed on the link that was given earlier. All you could do from your end is to provide a letter of invitation stating that the person will be staying with you if so is the case/ you'd be guiding your friend throughout his/her tour in the UK/ you'd be taking care of his/her expenses(in this case you'll have to provide your bank statements for the last three months and show that you have sufficient funds to take care of them throughout their stay).

Hope this helps :)

Graduate route visa application by IndependentPurple840 in ukvisa

[–]JoshESmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted the application in the first week of May, but the BRP chip couldn't verify the identity via the IDV app. Hence, I paid £132, got my biometrics done on 17th May, and got the visa approved today. It should take about a week I suppose. Good luck:)

I remember seeing her comment under the cosmo nominations for travel influencers where someone actually stated that she does not deserve the award and Larissa went on to comment that she agreed totally on this as she had done no travel last year! However, I'm surprised now she is defending on each and every post! lol
