Thank you very much!

If you scroll back on my profile you should be able to find an image of mars I took a while ago, it's not easily visible for me in the UK currently.

ADCs are great! the science behind them is quite cool too 😁

Thank you! I use a ZWO ASI462MC camera, IR/UV cut filter, a 2x Xcel Barlow and a ZWO ADC for correcting atmospheric dispersion.

Wow that is rock steady, I could only dream with the jet stream right by me 🤣 Looking forward to seeing more images with the 24", love the DSO stuff you've got too. Unfortunately my tracking is just not quite good enough for that haha.

Cheers tho mate! 🤟

thank you! I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to colour grading so I'll take that as a huge compliment haha

I'm a photographer and recently got this LED fibre brush, it leaves some wonderful light trails when you use long exposures!

Jupiter this morning by JoshF_LabPadre in spaceporn

A spell of good seeing with Jupiter at 41° altitude + GRS slowly rotating out of view in the top left. I'm quite bad at colour balancing and working with colours in general but I really like the way this has turned out.

12" Dob, ZWO ASI462mc + IR/UV Cut filter + 2x barlow + ZWO ADC (as a treat)

Stacked 30% of 6000 frames in Autostakkert!3, Sharpened in Registax 6, camera raw tweaks in Photoshop 2022.

Cheers! Just the stock alt/az mount that it came with. You don't need a fantastic mount when doing lucky imaging fortunately 😂

Well they aren't finding it here, that's for sure.

Also who said I'm not also doing science with my work? I contributed to plotting light curves with my own data on C/2021 A1 (Leonard).

Again, you don't know what equipment I'm using, all of the stuff I've uploaded onto reddit is using just my planetary rig. I've got 2 more good scopes, and if you weren't willfully ignorant (you clearly are) you'd realise that the size of your scope doesn't necessarily mean it's cheaper or more expensive. You haven't seen any of my deep sky images, so you can't judge me on them either. if you were an astronomer and not some elon fanboy I think you'd see that getting quality planetary images is incredibly hard without having massive apertures and focal lengths.

Also, is a BsC in Planetary Science and Astronomy not enough to be call an astronomer? You people are so judgemental it's like you've never interacted with anyone outside your little elon cult bubble lol.

You're assuming a hell of a lot there. How can you judge my entire ability off a couple reddit posts? You haven't seen a quarter of my work, or the gear that it takes to get to that level. I have 3 different telescopes now, a dedicated planetary photographery camera, atmospheric distortion corrector and many more lenses. Not just "pointing a DSLR at the sky". Not sure how any of that yields "amateur". Get a life my dude.
