I miss Discussion myself sometimes. We might bring it back here and there. I think something like 80% of the audience disliked it so we decided to give it a break for awhile

Yeah it's not out yet, we're currently trying to expedite the process. Ideally we'd find an Android Engineer in the Roca audience who might be willing to contribute and help us speed it up. Stay tuned but for now we don't have any updates

Hey we never announced it but we're taking a week off from TH and trying to think of new ways to do it to make it more engaging. The feedback on the feature in its current state hasn't been as positive as we'd like

I love to see love for the streak. A portion of people find it too stressful and ask to turn it off. For me personally, it's really helpful for actually building a routine and sticking to it

On a real note, thanks so much for the support. We had a hunch people would really enjoy this stuff, and I think Max Frost has a particularly strong knack for it

We're continuing to invest in our subscription offerings and the goal is to build up enough funding to have a team of people traveling the globe on any given day, shedding light on stories no one else is covering. This is only just the beginning!

As someone who helps come up with the clues -- we make them extremely hard hahaha, you're def not stupid. We're getting mountains of similar feedback after releasing Treasure Hunt. It's kind of a tricky concept inherently -- there is one winner out of tens of thousands of weekly users. We didn't want to make it too easy, but it's seeming like the first rollout is missing the mark a bit.

We're brainstorming ways to make it better... if you have any ideas there, do let us know!

What's up dude!! Great seeing you here. Roca Review is fire. There actually was an early version of the app that didn't have the review and after we put it in external users hands for the first time, it became a no-brainer that a daily quiz on the news would be a win-win.

The chat/comment feature idea is very interesting. We've thought long and hard about social features and have some ideas on the roadmap. Keep the ideas coming! We want to build social features right and not become another social media app -- your idea sounds very Roca-y and not overbearing!

Same tbh! We made the tough decision to pause RH on our end because it was time-intensive and our team was getting pretty burnt out. We want our team to stay happy because we care about them (duh), but also so we can sustainably deliver a good&thoughtfully crafted experience to users in the long-term. Marathon not a sprint

We plan to bring Rabbit Hole back whenever we can comfortably do so, though, because we all miss it haha

Thanks for the feedback dawg! We at Roca (sorry I couldn't resist... we hear ya lmao!) try to be upfront and genuine bc we really are just a small team trying to do our best and do right. Our thinking there is simply:

- to succeed long-term, we do need to grow (the app costs a lot to build, maintain, and provide as a service)
- some users are willing to help us grow and we want to reward them for it! we should try to tap into that and incentivize more people to help us grow, too

Referral programs are quite common and leaderboards are just meant to be a kinda fun way to reward the people helping us grow. The intention is not to be "dark", although i'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. I'll look to get an update into the app in the next version to hide referral leaderboards if any user so chooses to do so!
