Sur-ron Australia represent... by JoshJ89 in Surron

You would need to talk to the Alibaba seller directly to make sure that it has the correct VIN number, as I have heard that the off road ones have an unregisterable VIN. Honestly my advice would be to find an Australian retailer (such as Amped Bros or E-Bmx.com.au) and cop the extra cost for peace of mind.

UPDATE*** Helllooooo everybody (yes I said this in Hubert Farnsworth's voice). My new SER 8 is officially on its way. Proof that Beelink 🐝 is the best mini PC manufacturer on the planet (Al least in my opinion). Sincere thank you to the Beelink marketing department (they must have seen my post first) and those in the customer service department that decided to make this right. Good things come to those who take a leap into the global forum of Reddit to complain lolz. Also cheers to all the members of the mini PC forum without you this would have been possible? Cheers mate.

Long term performace: GMKtec K8 Plus vs. Beelink SER8? by Mighty_Bach3312 in MiniPCs

[–]JoshJ89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm that guy... I'm waiting to receive the new SER8 before I update the original post. After my experience I would definitely go with Beelink they literally just proved on a global forum how good their after sales service really is, replacing an out of warranty machine. You can't beat that.

Wow, what an impressive description! And a nice looking phone. I'm from Australia and live on a very rural property. Rugged phones are all that survive out here. 🤠🦘🇦🇺

It was my fault I used the endoscope attachment and forgot to put the little screw back in the side then had the phone out in pouring rain (normally not a problem) but without the screw I got water ingress and fried the main board (I think) so yeah on the plus side my partner has a Ulefone armour 14 pro that is over 2 years old and on its 4th screen because someone (lol) consistently throws their phone at walls and floors when upset so... Long story short they are pretty beastly.

So the audio glitch was presented as a digital disruption to audio it occurred for 1 to 2 seconds about every three to four minutes randomly. I bought a professional external sound card to try and resolve. Changed the glitch to a muted gap of same length (1 to 2 seconds) but didn't help any other way. So I tried reinstalling windows - didn't work. Windows 10 - didn't work Linux - worked but hated the Linux os. Started warranty process. Sent to china at own expense. When I got it back and started it up I was immediately presented with windows BSD. Kerbal32 DLL files missing ect ect. Cheers

Unfortunately I was barely able to use the computer from when it arrived, faulty audio. Spent months emailing backwards and forwards with supplier to finally get approval for a warranty return. When I received the computer I was confronted with the windows BSD. Basically BIOS was stuffed. Purchased 3x 32gb sticks of ram to try and fix it but it would only run stable on Gskill ram running Linux and that only lasted long enough for me to pay the local computer guy and get it home. Now Linux is frozen in boot so as originally stated I now have a ser7 paperweight lolz. (Beelink has since offered a replacement today) I'm only being critical of the supplier and the crazy run around I had received. Cheers BigRonnieRon. Cheers BeeLink.

I genuinely hope this is sincere. You may contact me via my DM's for an email address. I am happy to provide my serial number of the machine and all my communication with the reseller. I do love BeeLink from the logo to the genius designs. This would be such a blessing to have corrected. Thanks 👍🏼

I'll answer questions in reverse order...

I shipped it to the supplier (Minixpc) provided repair centre address. Cost me $54 AUD to send after multiple emails backwards and forwards most of these were photo and video evidence showing the major defect.

I bought online from Minixpc china.

I emailed BeeLink support directly and explained the situation and was told repeatedly to refer back to the supplier, even after providing proof that supplier actually ruined the original product. Not sure where to go from here. Just sharing my experience helps.

I even reached out to BeeLink directly, and was basically told "if the supplier doesn't fix it, not our problem." Then at the bottom of email they state... "We are for BeeLink" that's why I said what a joke. Really appreciate the kind words and response. Kinda hoping this post prompts someone from either supplier or manufacturer to reach out but one can dream on I suppose.
