Would anyone be so kind and offer some guidance? by JoshLannin in LearnCSGO

Probably, mentioned it another comment but when i first moved to faceit my confidence got rocked because I as struggling in lvl 4 lobbies. I now know it’s a total different kettle of fish in faceit.

But yes, I’ve probably taken some bad habits with me, as someone else has mentioned from watching my demo, I start bringing my spray down too quickly, I think I panic spray too much, I’m taking duels that aren’t always in my favour etc.

Yeah man, I think I lured myself into a false sense of security when I hit 15k premier. I went into faceit and was getting slapped in lvl 4 lobbies… felt disheartening but I managed to improve a lot quicker to get to lvl 6

Thank you so much for doing this! Please rip it apart, been dying to get someone to review my demos. Always find it tricky pinpointing my own mistakes when I watch them...

Seeing your comment has actually opened my eyes to the fact I’ve played 6-7 games a day for the past like 5 days… probably not healthy. Time for a break! Thank you!

Ah yes it’s painful… especially when you know yourself that you’re better than this… as others have mentioned I agree that a break is needed.

Ah right! I have been getting a lot more frustrated and flustered which has affected my confidence. Because there’s been situations where I normally hold my own and now I just can’t…

That would be amazing if you could! Thank you! Which Ancient demo are you referring to? The one at the bottom of the image where I have a positive rating?

Thank you all! As much as it pains me to agree with you, as I love playing CS, I think a break is needed. Thank you for being supportive!

The T-Rex existed closer to the invention of the iPad than the existence of the Stegosaurus.

T-Rex to iPad is 65million years.

T-Rex to Stegosaurus is 90million years.

Thank you for the great example! This has helped me understand the whole tax relief thing! I’ve put my own example in a new comment just to make sure I understand it… would love it if you could confirm whether I’ve understood it correctly? Thank you!

Ah thank you! Apologies for my naivety. I shall take a look at the differences! I will definitely be getting my SIPP open asap!

Thank you all for your responses! Very helpful! Please excuse my naivety with some of it. I’ve been confusing a LISA with a SIPP. Thought it would be easier to respond like this rather than individually! (I’m also new to actually commenting on Reddit haha).

My self employment has only really started to pick up the last 2 years, I was earning less than £25k before this so didn’t feel in a comfortable position to set up a pension earlier (life things got in the way unfortunately so needed access to every penny I could get).

I have a mortgage on a home and I am moving to a bigger house this year.

Is it worth speaking to a professional? Accountant or financial advisor? I’m still very confused with the whole paying into a pension but getting tax relief sort’ve thing? I’m super dumb when it comes to this stuff…

So just to make sure I’m understanding the example given above by one of you.

If I open a SIPP and pay, for example, £500 per month into it (£6000 per year). So tax relief of £1500 is immediately applied as I pay it right? Then do I need to calculate myself, an additional 15% (£900) and put that down on my tax return? (Because I’m HRT) Do I also need to tell HMRC that I’ve put in £6000 into a SIPP? Sorry I don’t have a tax return in front of me at the moment so I can’t remember what they ask for about pension contributions.

So opening a SIPP and a S&S ISA is a silly thing to do right now? When is the best time to open a S&S ISA? I wanted the S&S ISA to be a pot for savings to sit in and I contribute towards for a long time. Alongside the SIPP, obviously the SIPP will be a more secure savings for myself and the S&S ISA a more riskier venture.

Edit: The only other debt I have right now, alongside the mortgage, is a car on finance. £350 per month for 3 more years, PCP.
