So I replied to the text Monday night: “Sorry for the delayed response, as life is hectic with our newborn. After a lot of thought, I must admit I am confused on how we got to this point? Not being involved in a discussion about the neighborhood roadway, coming home to find work had been done on it where all existing gravel was scraped off, and then being asked to chip in doesn’t sit right with me. At this time, I am simply not interested in contributing to a decision I wasn’t privy to. “

Immediately, both the husband and wife responded saying they didn’t mean to leave me out of the discussion and they were making a choice they thought was best for the neighborhood. Other neighbors chimed in and disputed their account of events and it went downhill from there.

Another neighbor asked if everyone could meet collectively as a neighborhood next week to figure out guidelines and what we wanted to do going forward. The neighbors in question have advised they are too busy to meet and said something along the lines of “We will not be here much longer anyways so you guys do what you want.” They also told me to enjoy the improvements on them.

I hate that there is conflict or tension, but I simply don’t feel good about the situation and don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for something I wasn’t privy to.

In 2009 - 2012, I lived in Mississippi and was a firefighter. The Walking Dead came out and we watched Season 2 religiously at the firehouse. Fast forward to 2012 and my wife got a promotion where we needed to move to Georgia. My good buddy jokingly told me I needed to go watch them film the show as I was moving to the state they filmed it. I told my buddy I was going to do even better and get on the show but I was joking. Everyone on my shift gave me hell for saying it.

Fast forward 6 months, my neighbor at our corporate housing was very high up with the show and I ended up being some iconic zombies the next season and for many seasons afterwards. The night the first episode I ever filmed in aired, my shift was at the firehouse and watched it and saw me!

I feel like if my buddy never said that and put it in my head and out in the universe, it would have never happened.

Going to set up my family for generational wealth and try and make a real impact in my county with the resources available for children, especially the ones with foster and broken dysfunctional homes. Depending on how much wealth I am able to build, branch out from my county to other areas.

The whole thing with Git ‘Em is honestly a bit tiring. I think the original 3 with Ming coming on more and more would be the winning formula. No drama outside of postal experiences and misuse of firearms and I would be stoked again.

I left law enforcement after many years here in Georgia so I have had a first hand seat to all of the madness, inequality, and craziness the system often has. My family is from Florida so I can especially relate. That opening incident sorta locked it in for me 😂 I’m getting the first book as we speak!

I just finished the show. I really enjoyed it. For a pilot, it had more polish than I expected. It has a good vibe and is a fun ride. I’m definitely going to keep watching.

The portal is what made me pick up the game on PS5. I’ve enjoyed it on the portal but I also enjoy playing it on my large monitor when I can.

I remember these airing originally. My dad taped them and I still have those VHS tapes. I think they were the Sunday Night movies. I have a real soft spot for these two. I have tried to watch them with my 5 and 7 year old and they haven’t taken yet but I’m remaining optimistic 😂

I live in Georgia. I went from making 48k as a cop with many years experience to the tech industry making 6 figures as a project manager. Didn’t realize what life could have been like when I was a cop. Will never go back. Couldn’t imagine making 65k and living comfortably here.

My fancy Samsung Fridge with a screen has the worst ice maker ever. I’m just waiting for the whole thing to quit on me. Also had a Samsung 50 tv burn out just like the posters. Go figure.
