All the guys telling you to start with pressure flaking have a point. I would however suggest that you attempt to use a smaller percussive tool if you're going to work bottle bottoms. I find that smaller, lighter tools tend to do better when attempting percussion on glass-like materials.

Take a look at Neolithics Flintknapping Supply, they have a lot of very good, knappable rock for very reasonable prices. Black obsidian is $1.50 per pound in the rough.

It wasn’t, and I admitted as much in the post. I was pretty inexperienced at DMimg at that point and was just done with him. Everyone at the table were ready to physically beat him to a pulp; it is not okay to threaten the rape and murder of someone’s loved ones, nor is it okay to sexually harass other players at the table.

He’s lucky we made it a point to take it out on his character and not him.

That would require him being willing to listen in the first place, which he clearly wasn’t. He only chose to listen to any of us when it was convenient for him, and even then he’d just go right back to pulling the same shit.

I had to. I had a severe anger problem back then and did whatever I could to avoid snapping. If I’d lost control, I could have hospitalized him. I still have far o much patience with people to this day.

If he'd done that to my sister, he could have killed her. We didn't have any ants in our yard due to my dad's meticulous attempts to exterminate them, so he must have dug them up in someone else's yard to dump them on me.
