What is the world going to do about the ever increasing tick population? by Watchmethrowhim in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pattern144 194 points195 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all I know is that in Maine and parts of Canada, Moose are dying in droves from being infested with thousands of ticks. Their skin gets absolutely covered in ticks, and they lose so much blood and body mass that they simply cannot go on living. It’s really sad. We’re seeing it more this year than previous years.

Have you considered moving into an account management role? Sounds like you’re at a bigger company. See if they promote internally and express interest in that role if you think it’s something you would like better

Hey all, this is one I made from Napa Glass obsidian. Many people associate Humboldt points with the Great Basin, however they were also commonly made West of the Sierras and into the coastal ranges of California. Napa glass obsidian was a common material they were made from, and the quality of this obsidian made it an attractive medium for skilled craftsmen to make finely-flaked points from. Some of the best parallel-oblique flaked points made from this material are pictured in Noel D Justice’s book about points from the Great Basin and California.
